blueflame:I´ve been at Zuffenhausen this week - almost everything is closed...museum, Porscheshops...but the factory is busy.
I had the chance to visit the new Porsche "Werkswagen-Verkauf" including the new factory repair-shop at Werk 4. The repair shop is just for press cars and factory cars - a huge facilty...they used to be at Ludwigsburg and moved now to Zuffenhausen.

Blueflame, you reminded me that I had my car serviced at the factory once, many years ago. It was a European delivery US car.
Almost 40 years ago. Wow!
KMM...very cool. In the 1980years the factory service was at Werk 1 on holy ground...directly next to Prof. Porsches office. My 964 RS used to be there in the 90th...
Mr. Wiedeking decided to built the offical Porsche Center next to Werk 1 for the customers,

As usual off-topic question - was there a werkswagen interesting for you ? I am just curious whether werkswagen is a competition to what you get at the dealers ?

First time I visited Werk 1, I spotted Wiedeking's 986 S...damaged. The car wasn't even on the market yet and we weren't supposed to see it. Another time, we spotted Bill Gates' 959 there, also damaged from an accident. Visited Werk 1 many times, incl. the time I picked up the 996 Carrera S with a prototype Powerkit engine for a testdrive (they didn't have a finished car, so they gave me a test mule with KBA registration). Ordered the Powerkit for my 996 C4 , loved it but switched to the 996 Turbo soon because I had an incident (broken stabilizer screw) with the C4 and I lost confidence in the car.
Oh, Werk 1 was also the place we saw a 996 Turbo mule without camouflage and took a pic with (even posted it on the internet), it still had "Testwagen" on the side. Porsche wasn't too amused then.
