Actually, I am really curious what they are doing for this kind of money since the car is ready in one day.

My front tires are almost done, will probably need new ones in 2000-3000 km. Weird. Rear tires are still OK.
Wanted to get a set of Trofeo R instead...impossible. A customer is currently trying the Michelin Cup 2 for his Performante, not sure if I should try it, not certified by Lambo and I remember that the Cup 2 generic version was not OK for the R8 according to Audi (had something to do with sidewall stiffness). The new Bridgestone Potenza Sport (from the STO, there is another Bridgestone, even sportier) would be a choice but STO is RWD, so...
Not easy. We'll see.

I heard of quite some Performante owners fitting Michelin Pilot Sport 4S instead of the P Zeros for street use, would that be an alternative?

God forbid. The Sport 4S is even worse at the limit.
I am trying to find a set of Trofeo R L but almost impossible. Some dealers have the rears, some the fronts but I am anxious to buy because they cannot guarantee 100% availability at the time of order.

The Corsa is better in my opinion... The Cup 2 for the Audi R8 sucks, it is basically a more sporty PZero with better wet capabilities than a typical Cup 2. I had the Cup 2 on my R8, they were OK but not even close to the Cup 2 on a GT3 for example.

Trofeo R for the road? humm...that's surely not the best choice... you will cook them in no time without exploiting more than 70% of its capacity.

Yes. I ordered them together with those great looking Audi Sport rims. Should have bought the R8, was a bargain when I returned it to the lease company. Was able to sell the Audi Sport wheels for 5k, paid 8k or so for them.
Did you try Reifendirekt for the Trofeos? They had some when I looked last.
Yep, they do not have them, unless I overlooked something. Do you have a direct link to the offer?
I found a set on eBay but they are sent from Italy, not really sure...
I also found the fronts at one dealer and the rears at another dealer but none of them can guarantee availability when I order, so weird.
I am also looking into the Bridgestone Lamborghini is using for the STO, there are two versions, one street version and one track version.

My mechanic confused the front tires with the rear ones, the rear ones are done and this after only 9000 km (I drove around 5000 km on winter tires). Ouch. 
So I guess only 3000 km on the Trofeos then?

Must be your driving style
I've driven 25k km on my GT3 Cup 2s, still have threadlife in them.... Will change them at 30k which should be it's 3 years mark.

I think all that active aero puts way more pressure on your rear tires......

Maybe... It is unusual though, the Corsa should last for at least 12000 km according to my mechanic, some even do 15000 km on them. I have been to a real track only once and it was only fun driving, nothing special. I guess the curvy pass/country roads are a different story.

Paid a surprisingly “low” 1700 EUR for the second service, same cost as first one.
Thinking about getting new tires though, there is a new Corsa PZC4 L1 available.

So I took delivery on Saturday. I felt a little odd wiring payment for the car not having seen it in person (I was out of town for work) but I had a good feeling about the situation. When I reached the dealership on Saturday AM, I saw it immediately out front and knew the 9 months of waiting had been worth every minute!
Of course, once I got it home the weather deteriorated, so I have been busying myself with programming Homelink, tweaking settings, etc.
The color is just impossible to capture on any camera I've tried. Here, in sunlight, it looks more blue than it is. As the sun goes down, or with incandescent lighting, the green predominates. I'll try to find time to drive it a little after the 1500km break-in period.
