    DE's What does Porsche REALLY think?

    This might be a good question directed at RC, I like taking my car to track/DE events, I've often wondered what Porsche really thinks about this practice. I'm not looking for bogus warranty claims here, either. I think they gotta love it, really shows what these cars are capable of 'out of the box'.

    They love it alright - saves them alot of money on warranty issues (that was my cynical answer, but the truth is that they don't support tracking like they used to...)

    One should read the gt3 manual. They talk about "When you have your car on the track, etc." So I think they reallize they have to support certain customer issues. From my disscusion with my dealer the word abuse is tossed around but what constitutes abuse can be inturpreted differet ways.
    At Road America when I use to come into Canada Corner in my 02 C4S I would watch the oil pressure drop to 10 psi with Michel Cup Sport tires. That engine was not designed to pull lateral g's with sticky tires. Hence I got rid of it.It is sad but their street cars are not as trackable as they used to be.

    Ouch - 10psi is pretty scary. My dry sump cars stay at around 60psi minimum (4 Bar) - I imagine the GT3 does too?
