    It's not only RT users. If you follow other forums, you'll notice, that the 992 GT3 isn't getting the same love the previous generations did. The hype was totally different last time, even before the many driver's reviews.

    "Objectively the rear spoiler is better solved" - seriously??? Objectively, what could look more aftermarket, than a swan neck rear spoiler?? I'm glad the front vents are growing on you, I really am, but it still looks like dead fish mouth, fat fish mouth. One I know for sure, this kind if front air intake will be full of bugs, cats and who knows what else. Imho, the 992 design are too elegant to be combined with GT (Motorsport) line. The car is too big, too fat and has too elegant cockpit and rear end, which is why it looks ugly and aftermarket. No doubt, it will be a weapon on the track, but damn....991.2 GT3 looks soo much better.... imho. And yes - it's became pricey, don't you agree with that either?

    I think it is not just the big gaping mouth, as much as the two vents in the front of the frunk... they really look like a pigs snout or so, I don't know... the GT3 just doesn't look exciting.

    The design of the new GT3 is a subjective matter. I find it very exciting and purposeful. No other GT3 has made such an impression on me since the introduction of the 997 GT3 which followed the original "unfinished" 996.

    Others here and elsewhere don't like it at varying degrees. Fair enough.

    However, Porsche must be commended for doing all the upgrades to make the car faster on the road and track without resorting to the easy solution of just sticking a more powerful turbocharged engine. They kept the 4.0 N/A engine (which is approximately at its HP limit)  and made significant improvements in other areas. Larger footprint with unchanged weight, Front double wishbones and stronger rear multi link , improved aerodynamics incl. that wing, larger brakes and wider front track and tyres.

    I guess part of this pessimism about this new Porsche emanates from the bad mood and frustration which is being generated by the pandemic and its health, social and mostly economic consequences.

    Mood and covid have absolutely nothing to do with it here. It's much simpler - 992 GT3 design is disappointing, that's it. And I like the 992 design in general, however less interior, but an exterior. The 992 Carrera looks very very nice, but 992 design didn't work with more aggressive models, like GT3 ( I'm afraid to think how the final 992 GT3RS will look, with this enormous rear wing heart)

    I loved every single GT3, it was an exciting moment each time new  GT3 were launched, but the latest GT3....enlightened have nothing to add.

    992 inside is too refined from the dash and screens everywhere. From the outside, it looks really fatty and not looking like a frog anymore with narrow front and wider rear. Now it is like a cube. If I need a cube, I will buy a fefe. I am waiting for the RS as it will have much more advanced and developed aero and a 4.2L. From the Turbo, 992 proportions are better looking with the wider chassis so RS should look cartoonish but better than regular 3.

    Yet this is the most capable GT3 model presented with a significant increase in motorsport technology compared with the predecessors.  Those were more marketing efforts, based on technology, compared with this GT3.

    Yes, 992 Cup first Cup with this (previously only in RSR).  992 Cup also first with electric steering.

    Haha!  Porsche has jumped right in to the Try to be Less White Movement

    - with the Kareem Abdul Jabbar Sky Hook rear spoiler cranes, and

    -the Pile of Poo rear letters - Made in China.  Porsche got tired of us taking the "PORSCHE" off the back, and said, there, these Piles of Poo will fix them!Smiley

    Exactly.

    And Porsche have increased point-to-point speed and capability without unnecessarily huge HP numbers. They stayed true to N/A engine which GT3 enthusiasts enjoy the most.

    I haven't seen the GT3 live as yet but it appears to me as the most successful 992 design so far. The Turbo is also well sorted out. The Coupe is ok but it is very colour sensitive and  the Sport Design Paket enhances its aggressive look. The Cabrio and the Targa are design-wise the most unresolved versions IMO.

    I find those dimensions very "slimline" and below the norm, compared to competitors and to most cars manufactured in 2021.

    Something like the Roma (also a very nice looking contemporary car) for example is

    One is pushing to the extreme limit of what the car can do in corners, the other one is not Smiley

    The front train of the 992 gives much more turning in grip and the back just follows nicely. 

    It is way more efficient, but will it give as much driving pleasure as the 991 ? Can't wait to read serious test drives. 

    I hope it does not what the 992 Carrera did to the 991 Carrera in driving feel.

    I would say it is a muscular sportscar. What is mistaken for fat is muscle mass!

    The price increase might be something unpleasant but the new GT3 has many more bespoke parts, besides the front suspension, The buyer knows that this is not a more sporty Carrera but a proper track car.

    Almost all colours suit the GT3.

    Perhaps the Gentian Blue is my least favourite. I love the 2 silvers, the Agate and the Shark blue.

    I'm liking it more after the initial photos... I think it will look better in real life because it already looks better in video than in pictures. The rear is not it's best part, there big empty rear with the small lights makes it look fat and the swan neck wing is frankly ugly, no if it buts, but considering it's one of the most functional parts of the exterior of a GT3, you can really blame it if it's ugly but functional. The front bumper with the wife black intake is starting to look not that bad in video though, looks purposeful, like very RS like.

    Perhaps I am biased, but I think the 964 turbo has the best 911 proportions front fender-door-rear fender.
