Picked it up today, finally

Just picked it up from the dealer. What is not pictured are the clear front marker lights which I have now installed. More pictures soon.

Peterd, congrats! Very nice cars.
IMO the best looking rims for the 997 currently, gives it an aggrive look, perfect!

Could you post a shot of the interior please?
I'm curious about what it the aluminium pck you mention. Thanks.

... interesting thing is the sport design wheels are not my favorite but looking at the picturs they seem to change when combined with silver as you did, they look nice thta way

Panel colors mismatched?

Pardon me, but I simply must wonder, does the color of the bumpers exactly match the body panels in real life, or is it the photos?

Especially in the side view (bottom photo) the back bumper looks darker and cooler than the fender.

I hope it's a digitalization issue and not a reality.

Congratulations, thats a fine looking car. I'm a fan of the silver/grey leather combination - it'd be great to see some interior shots. There's a Seal Grey S waiting for it's owner at my dealer with the same wheels. I think your colour looks better!!

I noticed that too. I do not think it is the camera. It is there, the camera may have exacerbated the difference.

I've seen this before in many different cars. The bumper is plastic and the body is steel and I think that different colors show differently when sprayed on different substrates, unless... they made a mistake and painted the rear bumper w/ a different color (shipping damage, perhaps?).

Good observation but you're both, well.....

Look at the top picture, what do you see very close to the rear of the vehicle? Perhaps a blue car? It's amazing as dirty as my car was how much reflectivity the paint has. The angle of the rear fascia is positioned to reflect the color of my wife's CLK500 Cab on the lower part while the upper part is true.

Wow. I've since been checking this out in other Carerra pictures. It's perplexing since even some of Porsche's official pictures show this disparity in color. What the heck is going on?

Stunning! Came across your post an hour ago and can't stop staring. Somehow missed it when you first posted. The exterior-color/wheel combo are perfect. Natural brown leather will be my choice. Have you posted additional pictures?
