crayphile:huangester:Love the RUF but its much bigger sized car isn't my cup of tea......
I suspect you have not driven it.
Or seen it - it's about the size of an old 911.

Gnil:We do have a member who has one on order . Will be very interesting to find out his driving impressions .
The RUF chassis is a 911 taken into supercar territory !
That is true, really interested in seeing what such a chassis can do for a "911".

Thanks, great video! I really like the personal approach in that video. Mr. Ruf and his son have been true gentlemen, whenever I met them.
A really great YouTube/podcast series, I came across this week: Alte Schule. It is only in German so far but features some really great personalities, e. g. Hans Metzger, Norbert Singer, Vittorio Strosek, Harm Lagaay and also Alois Ruf.
Funny, I enjoyed lunch with Vittorio Strosek (visited him at his location near Lake Ammer) and Alois Ruf (together with his wife who drove that nice E500 at that time) and I can confirm that they were/are part of a rare bread of gentlemen. Strosek was a little bit too focused on his design work (I am more of a technical guy) but Alois told the best stories about cars, engines and some failures, very interesting.

I was due to spec mine around now, but Covid has put paid to travel for now.

That looks awesome! I love what Ruf is doing. Would love the SCR for myself...

Nice article, so they are using the Tractive DDA shocks, this is what I have on my 997 very innovative allows for softer springing so great ride AND tight handling. What a your this CTR is gong to be
Did I ever mention I owned an original 1988 CTR ?

It was one of the retro fitted ones not the original 36 (was that the number ?) bare shell ones, built for a French guy and I bought from the then Ruf dealer in Paris for I think it was £38K.
The car had all carbon fibre doors, wings, bonnet it had the full CTR spec everything except the shaved gutters I weighed it at 1226kg with half a tank and I measured it 0-100kph in 3.2s which was pretty fast when you consider the gear changes.
The problem with the original CTR is that they used a new MAP sensor type engine control which was good for making the 470hp but was not great at lower engine speeds so the motor would hunt and throb quite a bit and used a lot of juice, it was not really something you could daily drive. I think I sold it through a London dealer for about what I paid one of my great car clangers along with my £210K sale of my Carrera GT
