Whoopsy:My turbo 3.6 also has a 'wide' ass too when compared to it's waist line, but it's quite a bit narrower than any of the modern 911s, it's all about the proportions.
Yours is a 964 3.6 Turbo aka "Bad Boy"?
And yes, Porsche nailed the styling on the Taycan, it doesn't have a bad angle. But that also makes me worry about the Cross Turismo, it loses that amazing back end styling to start off with.
The Cross Turismo. Not as attractive as the original but not that bad if someone needs the loading space.

Gnil:reginos:Is that sound real? I thought that cars with so exciting sound are being banned!
was thinking the same. Not real to me.
They used the interior sound as the outside sound.
It sounds good when the engine runs at idle, it sounds bad under 5000 rpm (in my opinion) and it sounds quite OK above 5000 rpm but quieter than previous GT3 or GT3 RS. I think they found an acceptable compromise, considering that the catalytic converter and the particulate filter are basically one unit now. Very bad news for aftermarket exhaust systems because you will very likely need a software adjustment as well.
On the other hand, I've been told (didn't have the chance to drive it yet, just heard it) that it revs more freely (at least it feels that way) at higher revs, so it should be a very nice car to drive.
Oh, my dealer can get me one this year, a good thing, now I just need to convince my wife. I know she wants the car but she also wants a convertible, so...
If you guys have some ideas about a relatively cheap convertible with AWD(!) and a little bit of coolness factor, shoot. She needs a winter car and it has to be a convertible. Otherwise she won't go for the GT3.

Christian, have her test drive a Targa and take a picture of her in it. It’s AWD, very sporty and cool and fits a good looking woman like no other car. It’s perfect for her and your tax bill. The Targa in my view is the best looking Porsche.
btw, my description of cool is something that is distinct but not over the top, has a certain amount of exclusivity and very pleasant to the eye. Anything with all three of those characteristics is definitely COOL.

I totally agree, Nick, for a sporty lady.
GT3, dare I say it, suits a guy better.

She hates the Targa, always hated it.
She wants a real sports car, her first choice was the 992 Turbo S, then the (upcoming) 992 Carrera 4 GTS Convertible and now the 992 GT3. GT3 and C4 GTS Convertible cost basically the same lease cost, so... Since she drove that 991.2 GT3 last year, the thought of getting a GT3 hasn't gone away. She loved the car, so why not?!

So,it’s the 992 GT3, obviously.
You have no idea how lucky you are for the fact that your lady loves cars too. Massive bonus.

As a doctor, mother and love of cars, track cars suitable for street use are the last cars she should be seen in. Definitely out of place and character for what she is and accomplished. Her driving a GT3 is akin to seeing her smoke a cigarette. A turnoff.

Ok, that was under the belt

RC do they still make the Audi TT in EU, or was it killed? Here we still have very pristine TT-RS (last year models) with low km, lots of cool factor, and they did make some convertibles.

Mithras:F-Type comes in convertible and AWD, even the V6 sounds ok and it's a sexy car.
She doesn't like the F-Type and she wants something with enough room for her skis.
Used Evoque convertible?
Seriously? My daughter has an Evoque but both, my wife and my daughter, hate the convertible version.

She isn't into Audi...
I think we found something...not exactly her dream car but for winter time and skiing, it is quite OK.
BMW M240i xDrive Cabriolet. 340 hp, automatic, AWD. Perfect.
I mean c'mon guys, we all know why I want her to get a GT3: Most of the time, I will drive it. She hates driving when she is with me (she always insists I drive ), she only drives when she has to drive and/or when she is with her friends.
I actually think the GT3 is more fun for her than a 992 C4 GTS Cab or a 992 Turbo S Cab but overall, I am a little bit of an egoist...a little bit.
So why would she want a GT3? Well, for her, a car is like a fashion accessory.

M3ike:The Speedster already felt more free revving than my Touring but the sound 😕 especially low down, asthmatic like Darth Vader.
Anyway as always the .2 will be the one to have, has always been an improvement. Now where‘s that Lambo Huracan Evo RWD😉
Won't the .2 be the one that is really subject to the strict regulations (I thought new regs for 2025)?
I think 50th Anniversary RS and/or RSR 4.2L will be the ones to have (still 992.1)...

Exactly, and if you listen closely to AP and Walliser in the video, you understand how difficult it has been to homologate the current GT3 (sound & emission). Not sure if we will even see a facelift TBH, they could very well skip it.

Of course I"m not serious on the Evoque!
I'll always remember my wife the first time she saw an F-type R drive by. She said "That looks and sounds like dirty sex, you can get one of those if you want."

They will definitely have a facelift - there are many other options (including turbos and/or hybrid, if necessary).
