mv:If you take a look at the overview of cars under 7:00, the 992 GT3 is actually quite cheap in this company.
Quite an achievement with this kind of power.
True for 0.01% of all GT3 drivers. For the rest HP is needed and the GT3 is short on those on comparison.

I like the car, my son is currently in a (desperate) process to convince my wife to get one.
Price for the car I configured is around 198k EUR, lease would be around 3k EUR per month (for 48 months with 20k km per year, probably cheaper at around 2.7 k EUR if negotiated with dealer directly).
Yes, Porsche kind of lost reality when they priced the car but hey, it will sell, no doubt. Most of the ordered GT3 will be around 200k EUR, more or less, not a bargain anymore.
I wonder how much McLaren will charge for their new entry level 570S successor?

If someone avoids the fancy brakes and the carbon roof the car won't go much above the €167.518 basic price. A top sports Porsche for say €180.000 is not unreasonable. Other expensive brands start from around €250.000; faster in the straight line but I don't think the driver enjoyment is any more and the ownership costs are usually much higher.
Besides, the car looks very attractive and purposeful. I like the wing or rather I don't like it less than previous GT wings.
Two complaints: The front unpainted plastic is too much for all the light hues. Ideally, the interior could be less luxus and more racy. But that would obviously raise the price.
However, my compliments to Porsche for developing a bespoke front suspension for this model. True perfectionism as the standard McPherson struts would suit 90+% of drivers, very well.

Guys, still cheap here in the UK.
Really decent spec, 145k, so, that’s 24k of options added ( without carbon roof )
The handling of this thing must be something else with that extra 50% aero .

AP911:For the first time I like the turbo more than the GT3.... I will get neither, and depreciation will be cruel I sense.
Hopefully the RS and the Touring will be a better proposal.
the RS will be in a different league in term of look and performance but the price will be frightening.

That is at the base setting. At its most aggressive settings, the aero is 150%. Even the front splitter is adjustable over four settings.
BiTurbo:Never thought this day would come, but Turbo S > GT3
Yeah, I really have a feeling that Porsche is struggling to make the front and rear bumpers of the 992 look good. The turbo front is already a convoluted design, but the overall shape with the side intakes and the rear wing looks really good. The front bonnet of the 992 GT3 also draws the eye way too far forward to make it look good imo.

Yes, it is 150% MORE downforce with the rear wing in max setting, so 250% of standard setting

Boxster Coupe GTS:I would also love to see a version of the Porsche 992 GT3 without the swan-neck rear-wing, but with that ducktail...
That would be an ideal looking Touring, but Porsche does not make it with the little ducktail. Probably too costly or complicated to make it work properly. But to put the Carrera back lid on the Touring is a real shame and takes away a lot of the special look the Touring could have. They keep the agressive front but use a tamed back.

Hmm, even when impaired, still won't watch a 300lb lady dancing...................
On a separate note, my Targa Heritage arrived and I didn't take it. 992 simply look fat in person. First car ever that I refused delivery.

Was it in Black? If not, that's the problem.
Several years ago, I turned down a Turbo cab I had ordered because I wasn't enamored with the way it looked. I was in light blue.

Well, that car looks fat on the surface and is fat under the surface - way heavier than a 992 GT3 that only "looks" fat
I imagine the dealer would be unhappy about that, if you weren't such a great customer?

Nah, with limited and specialty cars like these, they goes like hot cakes. There was already a buyer in the waiting actually. Christmas came early for him/her. The last limited car was the Exclusive, and I had 1 of 6 that came to Canada, many were very disappointed for not even having a chance to buy one.
