    Well, the front could just use a bit of drama from a lambo...even the ordinary sport design front would help...performance wise l didn’t expect anything else than the „usual“ beast improvements...blush

    Dumb question, why on this video, the stick seems to be manual, but gears switching obviously, not manually?

    The new PDK gearshift is designed to look similar to that of the manual since AP rather change gears using the gearshift instead of the paddles.

    I noticed that too.  I wonder what would account for that?  The fact that the top speed is the same, despite having 10hp more implies a bit more aero drag...

    US configurator will be up on March 31st. Allocations assigned probably April and deliveries to US September. They will have a 2021 model. No pricing yet but the odds are in the $160,000's. 

    Already advised my Dealer I don't have interest in the car.

    BTW, the 992 was running the R tires. Not sure the 991.2RS had similar tires for the Ring time.

    Wider tires help at launch but without significant power increase it is not an advantage anymore afterwards.

    Wing looks better than the mules but still not convinced, kind of looks like aftermarket but could be the pictures, will probably look different live. The rest looks great, except the interior, the 992's sedanish interior does not do the GT3 version any favours angry

    With the debut of the 992 911 GT3 Porsche announced a timeline schedule for its e-fuel program.  https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/industry-news/porsche-begin-producing-synthetic-fuels-2022 Liquid fuels address many of the downside issues with EVs whilst providing a tangible environmental benefit.  A few years ago, we had explored an investment opportunity in Rentech Fuels, who was developing cellulose fuels based on the Fischer-Tropsch Process for aviation.  The idea was sound but the management team didn’t meet our due diligence standards; the company filed for bankruptcy in 2017, so our suppositions were correct.

    With my config the car would cost CHF 256k and this is without PTS, Pepita inserts, different piping which brings the price up to Lamborghini Huracan EVO RWD level and in the soft currency USD a whopping 287k!

    Mine came out at 224k CHF.. bit more austere ;-)

    I like the interior design in general - reminds me of my 993 and the traditional air-cooled dashboard layout.  The 'gear stick' is a vast improvement on the shaver - bravo, someone is listening.  The only issue I have with it is the cheap shiny black plastic around the gear stick.  Maybe you can tweak that now (wasn't possible in the series cars) but the configurator is throwing a lot of errors for me.

    Seems in general quite close to my RS minus the wing vents.  i.e. they made it a good deal more aggressive.  Guess the RS will be like a Cup car with carpet indecision

    I agree with everyone that it won't win a beauty contest - but I'd like to see how it drives before dismissing it.  My guess is that it could be pretty great.

    Sure it’s amazing to drive, and if maximum exhaust loudness is not your thing then the engine is great too. The experiments Gnil and I did with our non-OPF and ITB+OPF RSes showed there was negligible difference.

    Does form follow function mean anything anymore as this car seems to epitomize that ethos with racing in mind? Watched the debut video with Sarah Yvonne Elßer where FSW stressed that most GT3 are tracked on a regular basis, hence the heavy tie-in to motorsport technology.  The dark lower side panels mean less visible stone chips.

    I keep seeing a fat stripper doing splits and pole tricks on a stage in a strip club whenever I see the new GT3.................

    It's very capable but still fat.

    I am less convinced today about the looks of the GT3 then I was yesterday. 

    That black mouth is now bothering me. Maybe it is better in the flesh. Would be nice to see it painted in car color. I guess, as always, a few flaws need to be kept so .2 can correct them. 

    The side definitely needs the black plastic protection on the back fender as otherwise the side is way to calm compared to the front and the back.... or is it that the front and the back are way too busy compared to the side indecision

    The choice of black calipers is nice. I would take it  that way on this car. 

    The  PDK gear shift is the best new feature. I always wondered why they put ''automatic'' looking shifts in PDK cars. I  like to use the gear shift a lot, use it more then the paddles when on public rodas. I use the paddles mainly when I want to do a '' serious '' lap or when I don't want to bother. 

    The 992 dash board is definitely not sporty looking enough for a GT3. 

    Engine wise, there has been hardly any comments yet. Probably because there is nothing to say. 10HP more then the 991.2 GT3, a joke. 

    So one buys this car only for the new look and improved chassis. 

      Fast it is , we know that, but  we need to know how it ''feels''

    Hmm, I am  completely in the "first you have to hate it" camp.

    Based on the looks, I really dislike the bloated overall shape of the 992, and the GT3 can't hide that bloated look. They tried to solve that by visually cutting parts out of the front and rear bumper and inserting black plastic parts into them. I don't know, but the previous generation GT3 (RS) seems so much more purposeful, rough and mean than this. First time I'm not at all excited about the new GT3. Well, what do I know, I'll probably end up loving it in 6 months time
