ISUK:Shields are an option and the majority of cars I've seen delivered thus far have them. If using the car daily I'd probably have left them off and chosen a more sobre exterior colour. I was lucky enough to see cars both with and without shields at the driving event last September. From a personal view I thought the front wing is quite long and as Ferrari have ditched prominent creases on this model, the shields give a focal point on that large body panel.
Interesting. They look good, no arguments. And as usual a great spec

Portofino M? - Nice, but the Roma looks so much fresher, so much more modern.
F8? - Something like the umpteenth iteration of the once great design of the 458.
812SF/GTS? - Never been a fan, F12 looked good, 812 was a step down in every aspect.
SF90? - Must be one of the most bland designs for a new Ferrari model in ages.
Monza? - Nice try, but the retro design just looks bloated on today‘s cars dimensions.
No, I really think no current Ferrari model can hold a candle to the Roma, when it comes to design.

I see you meant only in terms of design. On that basis I would still put the Monza above it, but these things are so personal and subjective. Friday is for the 812 TDF successor.

Yes, design I meant. Monza is nice, but - for me - the proportions are not quite right.
Now, TDF successor will be interesting. Since I find the 812 to be one of the most uninspired designs to come out of Maranello (which is a shame, since technically it’s such a great car), I hope they won‘t screw this one up.

That is an homage to the air intakes on Porsche's GT models 
In all seriousness though it looks better in real life - the camera tends to exagerate detail like that. Your eye isn't drawn to it in person when standing by the car. Its the same mesh that has featured on countless other models such as the 430 Scuderia front intakes, 488, 812 SF front grill etc.

OMG they still do?
When I had my second FF I had ordered CarPlay, it was a ~CAD$4,900 option.
Generally I find Ferrari's options are quite reasonable, very unlike Porsche where one can easily add an extra 30% on top of MSRP. Without trying.

I actually ordered mine in Rosso Corsa. I always thought first Ferrari purchase has to be red.

It’s been 10 years since I owned a Ferrari and I believe the shields cost that much then. Not bad.

The design itself is really reminiscent of the modern Aston Martins and indeed the Mazda. Makes you wonder why Ferrari seems to be unable lately to create their own strong designs... Is that all due to the break with Pininfarina?
