    Have been intending to get an Exige. Will keep the Elise for the 2 x sons and we can do some track days together.

    Plan was to get a used Sport 410 and fit it out for Targa High Country and Targa Tasmania. Plus the usual Lotus track days which are well supported here in Australia.

    Presume now there will be a surge in interest for the Exige - last of the breed etc.

    That was the only thing that stopped me buying one as I wanted to use it as a daily driver and parking a car with such wide and grippy tires without having power steering... every day... was too much for me Smiley

    The Exige with wider tyres is even worse than the Elise. While it makes no difference when driving, you almost need 2 hands when you want to get it to turn from a standstill indecision.

    I spend a bit of time with the Lotus tribe here in Australia and I do not know anyone who uses their Elise/Exige as a genuine daily. Too many compromises.

    The Evora was pitched as the car for this role though it never was able to compete with the competition, including the Boxster.

    The new Lotus (Type 131) will take over from the Elise/Exige/Evora and is another attempt to move the company into a different/higher market.

    A V6 hybrid? enlightened

    Going to weigh as much as two Elises. Colin Chapman would turn in his grave... They failed to be successful in that segment with the Evora, wonder what is going to be different this time?
