Still can’t justify TSLA’s $820 billion market capitalization either. It’s the poster child for speculative bubbles since even the most devoted investor can’t succinctly state where the expected growth is going come from within the organization. The production numbers associated with TSLA’s facilities are a joke. There is no way it can produce 650k units annually at Fremont especially since two facilities, Fremont and Shanghai, produced 500k last year.
Ferrari is in danger of diluting its brand with increased models and production levels. However, management, as you have pointed out, are more capable at Ferrari than at TSLA, which is focused on one somewhat unstable individual.

4trac:Biggest uncertainty with Tesla seems how long they can bank on $500M of green credits sales. As other manufacturers EVs scale up, they won't need to buy these.
Take away the credits and Tesla makes less money selling 500,000 cars than Ferrari does selling 10,000.

Gladstone:Without the credits Tesla still makes no profit plus the credit selling is being phased out. Interesting times ahead.
And I’m certain that as Elon becomes more wealthy he will become more and more unstable. There is a lot riding on one person. Just two factories building a few cars per year so I doubt they will be around by next year now that everyone is building vastly better EVs thanks to their expertise with the tech.

Tesla lives and dies with Elon Musk. This is a fact.
I like this guy: Just signed up for the Starlink beta in Germany, very interesting concept.

Biden’s GREEN Act is to extend EV tax credits out to 600,000 but reduce the credit from $7,500 for the first 200,000 to $7,000 afterwards. This will have an impact on the lower priced EVs in the States. However the impact might be more positive for Nissan and Volkswagen than Tesla.

I didn't say they are making a poor quality car or that it is their fault the market has valued the stock so very high. I am just saying that as the government program for selling credits to other manufacturers goes away and since without which they would not have any profit at all so far that it MIGHT be problematic at some point to run a company that never makes a profit.
However, you are probably correct that so long as you convince enough people that at some point in the not too distant future you will be immensely profitable and they continue to drive up your share prices..........well it is pretty much the definition of a pyramid scheme but who cares as long as it makes Elon rich and owners of the product proud of the company. It would be quite grand for the shareholders if they do turn a decent profit at some point.
I like the cars and I like the company, but I am with Elon's brother on this being a great time to SELL some shares.

Elon's brother likely knows much more than anyone else about what's going on inside Tesla and the future trajectory. The fact that he's selling say a lot.

He sold shares for around 26 Mio USD, not exactly a lot. He still owns shares for around half a billion USD.
Maybe he wants to buy a McLaren F1?
