    FWIW, yesterday my salesperson told me contrary to a year ago, the dealership is noticing a huge demand for used RS’s. I suspect it related to the last of the NA engines from Porsche.

    Though I can’t point to any evidence, my feelings are were still a few years from Porsche jettisoning the NA GT car.

    I would think it has more to do with the fact that there is currently a lull with no production of 911 GT cars at the moment (or quite awhile).

    Grant, most that want a Porsche GT car probably are aware that the new GT3 will be introduced in a couple of weeks.

    Right, but do you think it will be available to drive anytime soon?  Most people in the US will be waiting the better part of a year and there haven't been any made for quite some time - taken together, that is a long period with no new 911GT cars.

    Allocations for the 992 GT 3 will be give to US dealers sometime in March. Delivery in US late summer early fall.

    Handelsblatt today wrote, that Porsche

    * will invest €15Mrd  (EU Mrd) into EVs in the next 5 yrs
    * wants to sell 50% EV/Hybrids by the end of 2025
    * wants to sell 80% EV/Hybrids by the end of the decade

    Boring, I know. Now here is the interesting part.

    * Only for the 911 there will be combustion engines with synthetic fuels

    So, maybe the last NA Porsche is quite some years away. Until then, we certainly will see a number of "last NA special edition" cars

    Nah, Germans are either too well-behaved to oppose their government too much or the exact contrary, they go to extreme means. It would require something really extraordinary to convince Germans to exit the EU.

    The rise of the AfD (extreme right) happened because of the refugees influx, now maybe a little bit because of the Corona pandemic (either people who believe in conspiracy theories or people who are desperate because they had to shut down their business or both).

    Germans do not seem to realize how important the car industry is, not only for the German economy but also for society. Unfortunately politicians give the car industry mixed signals and those leading right now in the car industry seem to lack a certain vision. This will backfire at some point.

    In EU,

    PZ cannot sell above sticker. Nevertheless they can sell the car to someone and sell as second hand car... I've seen this in a PZ closed to the Lux border.

    991.2 GT3 PDK Black on black

    Re: 992 GT3

    For what it means the current main elements :

    - the new GT3 chassis will be obviously far better than previous gen ; the double triangle in front should make the difference. 992 "Fahrwerk" is really good anyhow

    - the 10 HP difference will not make a huge difference . the sound is obviously more muted due to the OPF.

    The car is great , handles very well. I'm curious to see the final price.

    If the loaded price is around 210k€, which I suspect, then a 2. RS with 520 HP could be a good alternative, without OPF.

    A 991.2 GT3 as well.

    I'm a bit puzzled about changing mine because of OPF on new cars, but I will certainly wait to have a ride in a 992 RS before making any choice.

    I hope by "loaded" you mean with PTS paint color and many CXX custom leather pieces.  Otherwise, that price is crazy for a base GT3 with the typical options...

    Haha, I would say base price in the 180k German price with VAT. With options and what not the 200k€ will be there. Get ready Grant, that GT3 will be the first of its kind to be RS without the badge.
    the real RS will be a beast.

    The trick is a different one in Germany: They register the car to the dealership, then they can sell it for whatever price they want. Only new cars cannot be sold over sticker as far as I know.

    That price would be prohibitively high. But it would enhance the used car values for the 991 GT3s and RS's.

    I speculate the base 992 GT3 will be around $165,000 and the RS $205,000.

    Every new GT3 has competed with the previous RS for less money...

    991.1 was 140k. => .2 was 155k - French MSRP

    .1 RS was 185k => .2RS was 198k - French MSRP.

    991.2 TTS was 206k => 992TTS is 221k...

    With exotic material, 170k to 180k  base MSRP is not a big stretch and remember you have to give some space to GT4RS.Smiley In France, you will also swallow a nice 30K as green tax. Final bill will be crazy!

    Re: 992 GT3

    In the US, the 991.2 GT3 was $143k ($144k with delivery to dealership after Factory Delivery).  I expect/hope for a US price in the $150k's before options.  If not, good chance I will just keep my old cars...

    The rate of increase of people's salaries is not going to sustain a large double-digit percentage price increase every 3 or 4 years for a GT3.  While there are currently more buyers than cars at the launch of this new model, this cannot be sustained much longer if they make the price increase you predict.  I think it is good for Porsche to have the perception (if not truth) that people are clamoring for these cars and that they are cheap for what they offer.  Won't be good business to have GT3's littering the dealers' parking lots unsold (if not now, soon with big price increases)...

    My fully loaded 991.2 Gt3 was 175k.

    210keuro might be too harsh, but 200k wis probably a better guess.
