Thanks, difficult to tell form the photo, looks slightly paler than TdF, my favourite Ferrari colour apart from the hugely expensive (triple coat)? metallic red. I'm only very slightly less envious though
Porsche 991/2 Carrera T Jet Black metallic / VW Golf GTI 5dr DSG Tornado Red
It's the bright inspection lighting that is throwing the colour. Blu Abu Dhabi has a hint of green to it which gives it a teal effect under certain lighting conditions. Blu TdF is a darker blue and on a different tone spectrum. Here is a better representation of Blu Abu Dhabi on an 812 SF.
I don't believe dealers are playing games as there seem to be quite a few US owners on F Chat with a Roma on order for whom it will be their first Ferrari. The media reviews have been almost universally positive so I think the car will sell well to a new audience who wouldn't have considered either a Portofino or an F8. Photo's really don't do the styling justice. My dealer said the order take up following a viewing and test drive has been very strong for them so on that basis build lead times may start to stretch out.
I'm sure it's the sort of design that will have potential buyers calling dealers once they have seen it in the metal for themselves. There a few owners in California who are DD'ing the car and they are enthusiastic about it.
When I saw this photo my first thought was "Nick has bought himself one" but then I saw the licence plate

Your comments about availability are encouraging. I know Ferrari management is looking to increase revenues. This bodes well for a new customer base.

They are public company now and need to deliver EPS growth. Close to no restrictions on who could get a Pista Coupe or 812GTS let alone a Roma. This was despite the allocation frenzy prior to the release of the Pista and 812. Monza was produced in double the numbers it should have been - what I would classify as 3rd tier customers even managed to get one, possibly because it was non road legal in the US. It will be interesting to see what happens with the genuine LaFerrari replacement when that comes and the next in the Icona series.
Why is the steering wheel on the wrong side?
Oh, well...how often did you hear this one?
Congrats, beautiful car and combo, enjoy in good health.

Shields are an option and the majority of cars I've seen delivered thus far have them. If using the car daily I'd probably have left them off and chosen a more sobre exterior colour. I was lucky enough to see cars both with and without shields at the driving event last September. From a personal view I thought the front wing is quite long and as Ferrari have ditched prominent creases on this model, the shields give a focal point on that large body panel.
