    Loaner with cable but no card/subscription, can I still charge?

    Guys, Porsche Rotterdam gave me a Taycan as a loaner, can I charge without any subscription or porsche card (I have the cable) it is full, my range is 350km, I want to go to see my dad (110km each way.....) range auxity already....

    Any thoughts?

    I think you can but to be sure, talk to your Porsche dealer. Some chargers require certain membership/registrations for services, others accept a credit card as well. Talk to your dealer. Or just charge it at your dad's home (if he has a house and a closed garage) if you have the right cable.

    Range anxiety goes away after one week at most (perhaps depending on the brand)

    RC, thank you, yes I talked to my Dad and he is rearranging his garage already (smile). Anyway he will be excited to see me as COVID specially for older people is very hard on them. My dad mentioned that he has 380V available as well, hi hi hi. Talking about range anxiety... I am going in "RANGE' mode... coming back from Porsche Rotterdam which is officially 36km, I only used 24km in RANGE mode so not too bad (it is freezing here though)

    Lea, indeed fingers crossed.....I have the Taycan 1/2 a week... I am sure I will get used to it.

    PS, my CTT12 has the torque converter replaced (againsad) same was done 4 yrs ago (I was told it would not happen again) anyway it is a typical issue with the Cayenne Turbos and my baby is still under Porsche approved warrantee so no issue at all.

    Love the Taycan! 235 km was approx 235km in driving range as well, so range anxiety wasn't too bad (was driving in Normal most of the time)

    I charged it over night at home using 220V for 13hrs via a wall socket and I only gained approximately 100km in range..... or from 39% to 58%. While my energy consumption (including house) was constantly at 3700W per hrs (I can see this on my phone). Its needless to say I would recommend a dedicated charge point.

    Amazing car though ! (Cayenne wink)

    Smiley I loved the Taycan Turbo S I drove and was even thinking for a short while to get one (or a Taycan 4S, maybe a Tesla 3 Performance). Then, I realized that at some point in the future, we all will have to switch to EVs anyway, so why getting one now? Makes no sense for me. 

    Charging/range was actually the most important reason why I chose not to get one. 

    I charged the Taycan Turbo S at the dealer's charger (not a 800V charger but that thing you can get installed at home) and in 20 minutes, I got range for an additional 20 km. This is just ridiculous. It was windy and cold that day and I was standing 20 minutes outside the dealership (they were closed, charger was outside in the cold) to charge the Taycan.

    My range (mostly Autobahn full throttle whenever possible and a little bit of country roads) was under 200 km as far as I remember. Actually, there was a traffic jam on the Autobahn, so I wasn't able to drive that fast and under ideal conditions, I think the range would have been around 150 km. This is a joke.

    My Trackhawk, a 710 hp 2.5 truck, has a range of 400 km (mixed Autobahn full throttle and city driving). Filling up the 93 l fuel tank takes a couple of minutes, including payment. 

    EVs aren't for me (yet), sorry. The Taycan Turbo S was huge fun and I cannot say I hated driving it, on the contrary. The technology isn't "there" yet though, sorry. Maybe in 10 years from now. Smiley
