Josef:Really looking forward to your winter review, I was looking at the car as well lately since we now are a family of three
Did you get a dog? Just kidding. Congratulations, good news.

Porker:bluelines:Great shots!
Which winter tires do you use?
Michelin PA4, not too impressed with them.
My friend here with the B7 is on PA5 and supposedly they are much better.
I have the Continental WinterContact TS and I am not too impressed with them either. The Michelin PA5 seem to be the choice, so it is great to hear that you friend is pleased with them

I have a very good experience with the Pirelli Winter Scorpion (have it on both my Performante and Trackhawk).
My GLC 63 S has the PA5, very good winter tire as well indeed.
I wish we could use studded winter tires but they are forbidden in Bavaria (not sure if they are allowed in Austria anymore...there was a time, don't know anything about Switzerland).
I had the chance to drive studded winter tires many years ago in Austria, absolutely amazing.

Studded tires are allowed in Switzerland from November 1 to April 30, but “only” on snow covered roads and to a maximum speed of 80km/h. So if you live up in the mountains you could have a second car with studded tires and use it after snowfall
I think I will replace my Contis with PA5.

What does the artist want to tell us with that?I guess he likes the car...
I do, it's amazing! As practical as you'd expect from an E-class estate, but such a beast when asked. Love it!

Which ones do you have, TS830 A0 in 235-19?
TS 830 P in 255/35/R20.
I won’t get the Michelin PA5, but go for the newly released Michelin X-ICE SNOW. They seem to be as good as it gets without studs.

Thanks, I use them in the above mentioned 19 inch variant and am very happy. Very impressed with Michelin in general though and therefore curious about your verdict of the new ones.

Now you may understand why I love AWD cars. Not only in winter time.

Anybody experience with Renntech Europe? Was discussing taking the full Akrapovic that was fitted to the manager's E63. Got a nice deal on the exhaust, but obviously they proposed their signature upgrade as well. I resisted initially but 740hp/1000Nm does sound fun.

I installed their 200 cells Downpipes...significant improvement of sound and torque in low rpm (I didn‘t dyno the car). PM me if you‘d like more details. For the price it is much better value than the Akra exhaust.
Thx, that could be an option indeed, although the work involved is more significant I presume. That said, I have the Akra at 50%, I wouldn’t consider it at normal retail price. Will shoot you a PM.

Renntech has a pretty good reputation lately, they certainly upped their game.
Do you really need more power? Think warranty and manufacturer goodwill after the warranty runs out.
