Hehe...exactly "my" thing. 
I am very curious about the tires they used for the car, they seem to work well on snow. 
This is uphill, downhill I would never drive that fast on a snowy road. 
Dammit...now I really want this car again.

I suspect Alpine 5 as I bought exactly the same for my car. BTW they are not that great in snow, more of a wet tire.

The Alpine 5 is great in snow, I have it on my GLC63 S AMG. 
Not a fan of Bridgestone when it comes to winter tires but I don't know much about the Blizzak.

The Alpine 5 is great in snow, I have it on my GLC63 S AMG.
Not a fan of Bridgestone when it comes to winter tires but I don't know much about the Blizzak.
Echo here; Pilot Alpins are all we use on the Subaru, and.... we do get snow here...
I would say they mostly lose out to a more dedicated snow tire on glare ice - but then few tires really do well on ice. I have used Blizzaks in the past, they sacrifice everything for grip, soft sidewalls, squishy driving, to me not worth the tradeoff especially as most people end up driving on bare pavement for much of any winter.

I have the Pirelli Scorpion Winter on my Trackhawk. Had the same tire on my SRT and loved it, great winter tire for a heavy truck (braking) and very predictable. Also very good in the dry and on wet pavement. Highly recommended for high performance SUVs. This wasn't always that way. Had the first Pirelli Scorpion Winter on my 955 Cayenne Turbo (over 17 or 18 years ago...I think?) and it was the worst winter tire I ever experienced. Almost had an accident, there just wasn't enough grip and braking was also bad on snow. I remember I switched to Nokian winter tires after only one month, great on snow and quite good in the wet but on dry pavement? Horrible. Pirelli has advanced a lot with their Scorpion winter tire (I have the same for the Performante btw.) but I know that now, there are better winter tires out there, I just love that the Pirelli is predictable and really great for heavy trucks.

Toyota are using the tried recipe of fast-and-tiny car well. It seems fun under certain conditions (esp, if you live in the snowbelt) and the styling is not extreme for this class of car.
But at €47.000 it is too expensive for a toy(ota)..

Agreed. Around 37k (price in Germany incl. Performance package and VAT) is OK.
47k would be way too much for such a car.

WAY:You can’t compare prices in different markets. €47k in Cyprus may not buy you anything more exciting to it’s all relative to its competitors. Over here I can have performance pack Yaris or a Golf R. I know which one excites me more.
I know but still...47k for a small Toyota...ouch.

Around here the Golf R is 42k net. So the Yaris GR is 10k less. But it’s irrelevant IMO. The two cars are very different in character. The R is more like a daily driver. The GR is more like a weekend toy (and more fun to drive). And that’s what I was looking for.

VW were testing a POLO R AWD with 250 HP last year. If the market for powerful AWD mini cars really exists VW could decide to introduce such a car without much delay.
I might consider a €35.000 car in this category from VW that would offer more than the occasional fun.
