Facelift G63

Picked up our late 2018 G63 up from its two year service yesterday and was thinking I might place an order for a new one, the dealer has some pre specced cars coming in May '21 but the waiting time is quoted as 9 to 12 months for bespoke builds and we wanted the solid grey paint which dealers don't seem to pre spec so I would be happy waiting for it.

Does anyone have any inside info on likelihood of a facelift for this model coming down the line ?

Interestingly I also may wait until Jan 1 to place the order as the way the Brexit negotiations are going there will be a 10% tariff which on this car is £15+K which I don't feel like stomaching Smiley

There were a couple of changes now (September) in Germany, new colors, G500 is out (coming back next year), G400 d is the standard model now. They also introduced the Urban Guard theft protection now, which includes GPS tracking. I remember my sales guy telling me that a facelift is due 2021 but I'm not so sure about it. Maybe he just wanted me off his back (I was pushing him for a faster delivery if I order one). Smiley

I got the Trackhawk instead, saved a ton of money but...the G63 would still be my favorite, it was just too expensive (2700 EUR lease per month) for a daily driver.

Many thanks for the info, I looks like the G63 is one of those cars where because of the decent residuals leasing really doesn't work, mine at two years old is realistically worth £120K now which is about £30K depreciation, pretty sure the lease options were around £2K per month.

Got the same info regarding MBUX.

Was in Graz a month ago at the Experience Centre. No mention about the G500 being out (I expect mine in February).

Local communication about anything G is terrible here...

911tts is right...only MBUX coming, my dealer told me the same today (I was there to check on that A45 again but he doesn't negotiate further). Smiley
