funny how you somehow always come back to the American muscle.....
enjoy in good health !
Indeed, it's the personification of you RC!
Not sure if this is a praise...
On a related note, I drove a friend's new Lincoln Aviator GT last week. Best interior on a american car I've ever seen bar none. What was shocking though is he put in a chip and runs high ethenol fuel. Out of the box it's 495hp and 630 ft.lbs of torque and with the chip and fuel only apparently it's pushing 625hp and 730ft.lbs of torque! It's not an agressive SUV like the trackhawk or an SVR, the closest thing it reminded me of was my dad's old Bentley Turbo R, that quiet squat and whoosh. It silently gobbled up road like a V12 benz. I was really really impressed.
You can easily get out of the Trackhawk "reliable" 850-900 hp with the proper mods, not too expensive, incl. some hardware mods (cooling system) to improve heat soak resistance in summer. Warranty would be over then though. E85 fuel adaptation provides even more power, easily over 1000 hp, Hennessey (I think) offers a 1200 hp version of the Trackhawk. This is insane.
The biggest problem with the Trackhawk is heat soak at very high temperatures. The EU version of the car is rumoured to be having a better cooling system, especially for Autobahn driving but I cannot find any details on the internet. Dealer has a data sheet where it says EU version but nobody can actually say what the differences are.
Since I've read some complaints from German customers that the Trackhawk lacks power in summer, I think that the heat soak is still a reality. I use high octane fuel (102 instead of the recommended 98 octane...EU numbers) anyway, which already improves cooling under heat a little bit but I think I will install something like the "interchiller" to keep intercooler temperatures down in summer, also maybe a different thermostat. These are well known measures to improve heat issues, which btw. other cars (European models) have as well.
I do not think I am going to tune the car because my new dealer is not someone who "supports" stuff like that but you never know.
