As far as known they did something that wasn’t allowed... still very sad to see that a team like Ferrari with a budget that is on top of all others doesn’t manage to do what they are most known for, a proper engine! I mean that is really sad to see... all other teams have the same rules and still... All other engine powered teams did improve, and Ferrari powered dropped by quite some margin. I mean +1,3 sec for Ferrari 
It’s time to think over all the Managment... starting form the top IMO

It‘s amazing to see how safe the cars had become!!! This is one of the most horrific accidents I have ever seen in F1, really happy that Romain got out of this car. I am still shocked that he got out by himself. I hope that now no one is complaining that HALO looks like shit. Without it we would have most probably lost him today.

So relived when Romain got out .... could not believe it !
You can see his hand trying to get out in the middle of the flames before the medics arrive . Then the doctor spots him and points to the other fireman where to spray. Unbelievable ...

Exactly, and spraying where there is no fire ....
Romain' s self control was also what saved his life. Imagine what it takes to do the right thing in those conditions.

It was a horrible incident. How he made it out of the car I simply do not know. Lost his left boot and looks like his visir was partly melted - Or likely the tear offs. I know these guys are skinny but there is not much space to exit and it looked like some of the halo was blocked by the rail. Just happy it did not ended worse.

Exactly, and spraying where there is no fire ....
Romain' s self control was also what saved his life. Imagine what it takes to do the right thing in those conditions.
Three observations: First, that was water from a fire hose he picked up at the shed on the left hand side of the video. Second, he begins to apply water to what he thought was liquid fuel at the scene to potentially stop it from igniting. Having the flames spread in a wider area would make any rescue operation more difficult. Finally, he was still assessing the situation and probably was not sure what he was observing. Part of his vision was blocked by the armco barrier and the flames. Sometimes, taking a few seconds to assess the situation is more important than a knee-jerk reaction.

Useless, but then again the extinguisher he was using appeared equally useless.
