    Are those normal Hong Kong plates? (Assuming HK = Hong Kong)

    It's a temporary no. plate for test drive only. Since CGT has LHD only so you can't get a registration for it in HK.

    Is anyone ever going to do anything about this rediculous rule? It makes no sense that Hongkong is just about the only place in this world where it is not reasonable to drive a car with the steering on the opposite side.

    I think it is same as Jap. And may be UK in term of registration?

    Its not just HK.. Lots of countries in southeast asia do not register left hand drives.. I know of India and Indonesia as well.

    There are 2 reasons that people will do that:
    1) Car only have LHD
    2) Escape from the registration tax casue' it's quite high. Say if we can get a 996 GT3 RS in HK, with tax is HKD1.76m, without tax is only HKD1m.

    However, usually people will only do this in Super Cars since some of them doesn't have RHD like CGT and Enzo.

    This licence must belong to a car dealer and for test driver only. Every test drive must fill in a form to the transport dept.

    LHD is legal in Japan. In fact, most Porsche's are LHD dring on RHD designed roads.

    No, you can register both LHD and RHD cars in the UK without any difficulty.

    Who's CGT is it ?
    There're going to be quite a few CGT in Hong Kong. In fact, the CGT is comparitively quite cheap .. at least cheaper than the F50... performance-wise it's Enzo class.
