From my past experience with Porsche and tires, I'd strongly recommend to follow their recommendations. Not only because of safety but also because of warranty regulations. If your 4WD system needs warranty repairs, Porsche could blame the tires. I know of cases with the 996 C4 where this happened (visco clutch failure).
The Cayenne is no Toyota Landcruiser, the Cayenne is a high performance SUV. I know Porsche drivers who used non-recommended tires on their 911 and they were wondering why they got a tricky behaviour in certain situations. It is not about normal everyday driving but driving at the limit.
The most important thing on a car are the tires. If they fail, you're busted, no matter how good a driver you are. Don't play with your life. If you're referring to the Nokian speed limit (270 kph): the Cayenne Turbo has a top speed of 266 kph and more. It is VITAL that you're using tires with the right speed but also right WEIGHT index. I'm not sure that even Nokian approves this tire for the Cayenne Turbo and for that kind of speed. Be careful!

Didn't see that you had double-posted this to both the English & German threads and replied their (in English) first. Oh, well. 
We (I and friends) use Nokian snows almost exclusively here in New England. They aren't that common but from experience we've learned that they are the very best for snow. I highly recommend them as first choice if they will fit the car you have.
I tried to buy them in Belgium but could not. The distributor told me that they cannot buy them because the factory is worried that they will be grey marketed back to Scandinavia and Finland where they are made and where tyre prices are much, much higher.
The official reason was that they were not safe in the warmer climate because they were formulated for very cold conditions. But this is b.s. else they wouldn't sell them in the USA where the temps are much higher than anywhere in Europe. Nonetheless, I would be careful with them when it is very warm out (basically make sure you don't try to use the snows in the summer months).
Highly recommended for winter driving.
RC makes a valid point about making sure that the tyres will work with the Cayenne. Just as he suggests, you will need to look at the speed rating (which must be below the 270 km/h he quotes??) and the weight rating. Why not try to get Nokian to say that they are ok for the Cayenne? That might help if there is a problem. But personally, I think I would feel a little more comfortable than he going for these tyres if all of the specs make sense.

Thanks for those infos. I will stick to the recomended Dunlops until Porsche confirms me that I can use any other, so I won't drive faster than 210 this winter! They Porsche Germany phone number, +49 711 911 8776 told me that no other winter tires should be used !and that other tires are being tested at the moment. I know that Nokian are made for cars up to 2.8 tons and have the same specs 107 as Dunlop.

gary, I have the Dunlop Winter Sport M2 (H speed rating) on my ML55 and I can assure you that this is a great winter tire for a SUV.
Even when it is warm outside (around 13* C), it still performs well. On our Austria vacation, it performed absoutely marvelous in deep snow, unbelievable performance. I will post a short video to show you the snow conditions we had.
Are you sure there is a Nokian Winter Tire with W rating and 109 weight index? Don't forget that the Cayenne Turbo weights 2504 kg (measured by AMS) and is approved for over 3000 kg. So I personally don't think that even Nokian will approve their tire (up to 2800 kg?) for the Cayenne Turbo.
