Obviously Fiat is experiencing some hard times. As they and GM are arguing about terms of GM having to take a majority stake in Fiat as per their last agreement, Fiat is now offering up their Ferrari ownership to GM.

I'd prefer a private owner; an auto enthusiest to snap it up... less concern about return on investment and more concern about "the passion" of Ferraris

It would have to be a multi-billionaire to be able to support the F1 team's expenses

It would be a first rate tragedy if Ferrari would go under american ownership.... :-( I seriously doubt that they're gonna sell Ferrari shares to GM
Before that would happen, I prefered a German owner...

Fiats assets includes a big chunk of Ferrari stock.
With luck, the next Super America could be built in Flint Michigan and Mr. Goodwrench will be stocking 360 water pumps.

I couldn't bring myself to purchase a ferrari if it was influenced by an american.I
rock on
All current Ferraris are " influenced " already by head of design Frank Stephenson , who designed the Mini, and is half American and half Spanish . The Enzo , Quatroporte, 612 and 575 successor were done by a Japanese, the 360 was done by an eastern European and updated by an American. There have been gripes that Ferraris since the late 90s have become " interesting " looking cars, but not jaw dropping good looking. Not very many Italians , like in the days of the great Lorenzo Ramaciotti who influenced their cars from the 70s- to the 90s. All this has happened under the watch of it's Italian management at Ferrari and Pininfarina the past 10 years as Luca Montezemolo wants the car to appeal to the growing markets in Asia and Russia as well as the traditional western European and American buyer.
. Don't get me started on the puffer fish 612 which in person looks just like it's pictures and could have been done by the Buick folks at GM.

yep, i saw the 612 again yesterday and it could really use some design help from someone - even an american. it would make a great new toyota supra.
