The GTS is very nice, but I am not sure about this quirky edition. I would get a "normal" GTS in that case.

Did any of you guys consider remapping the GTS pdk gear box like a GT3 pdk? (I.e, faster shifts, no kick down or up shift at redline in manual mode).

I am still working on a factory-sanctioned update for my PDK but I get the feeling that the dealer is a bit unsupportive and he calls the shots when he actually sends the complaint to Porsche. Not even sure he has...

Thanks RC. I don't want to get into a warranty discussion because with my bone stock 997 I still had to pay out of my pocket while the car was under CPO warranty. I think Porsche is quiet cheap in terms of warranty coverage.
Back to ECU / pdk remapping my goal is not to increase HP, I just want to optimize my car settings especially that I added an X pipe and BMC air filters (you should try, it sounds almost as good as your R8 ;)

Trust me, if my GTS gets any louder, I end up with the car impounded over here in Germany. My GTS Cab is massively loud but everything is stock (well...the control software mapping may sometimes be stuck with the flaps open... 
).

20,000km in 9 months, that's it's even higher than me, I'm up to 25,000km in 13 months! Funny thing is I was just telling my wife the other day how it doesn't feel like I brought the car home one year ago already, seems only a few months went by, because the car still grabs me like if it was the first day.

Weather was too nice that week-end not to drive ! Called the Chedi in Andermatt (http://www.ghmhotels.com/en/andermatt/), booked a suite and jumped into the GTS. First stop, Brunig Pass which offers this wonderful view on Lake Lungern...
After that, Susten Pass heading to Andermatt...

The Chedi is a wonderful place I can only recommend, it just gives a great excuse to drive some of the best roads of Switzerland. Today we left Andermatt and head back to Geneva through Furka Pass.
