Looks great if you ask me.
But I'm mot sure Porsche would jeoperdize Carrera GT sales with such a stylish car.
I think the next generation Boxster will look much more refined and stylish than the old one. I also think that it will get substantially more power, including a turbo version with way over 300 HP and more. The only chance to be able to avoid creating a Boxster which hurts 911 sales is to make two completely different products, especially when it comes to the design. Corporate identity yes but on future Porsche products, there must be clear and visible differences between the models. Look at Mercedes: they sell a SLK 32 AMG, a C 32 AMG, a CLK 55 AMG and they sold the "old" E 55 AMG and "old" S 55 AMG, all cars having practically the same power and street performance but completely different looks and a different character. Yes, I can even imagine a Boxster with a 400 HP engine, why not?!
Another example: the SLK 32 AMG has a much better performance than the new SL 500 but costs substantially less.
And the SL 500 still sells.
Porsche has to seperate the Boxster and the 911 totally, they have to be completely different cars. The Boxster doesn't "need" the 911 anymore to sell, it is successful by it's own character, even if sales seems to have slowed down in the past.
I have to confess that I don't envy anybody at Porsche who is responsible for the next Boxster generation and especially it's design. I truely hope however that Porsche starts to be a little more courageous and avoids the mistake (from my point of view) they did with the Cayenne (too conservative, too boring, etc.).
