Super capacitors will never be the answer Nick.
It has great charge and discharge rate, but the problem is it can't keep the charge for long, unlike normal batteries.
That Lambo won't be a plug in. The super caps will be charged during driving and they will discharge by themselves once parked.

I did a Lambo factory tour on Friday . I was surprised by the fact that these cars are actually hand made , hand assembled for the Huracan , No robots expect to help with lifting heavy components . I clearly saw why the Aventador is so expensive . The work to do the chassis is impressive .
The following day we did a track day in Vareno .
The SV J is a master piece . Unbelievably beautiful in every of it's details . This blue car has even the SVJ painted , not a sticker . The sound at break point at the end of the straight was like a trumpet concert .
A few interesting cars joined in ..
A factory pilot can along to help the ones who wanted and brought this beauty
The nicest sound of all was on that Murcielago with a special exhaust that made it sound like an old F1 V12 .
The loudest sound of all the cars was on this superleggera , much louder then a Performante

nberry:This is why one should wait to buy a EV car. The technology behind EV/hybrid is accelerating.
Why don't you start with it (buying an EV)? The current Tesla S P100D with the "Raven" upgrade already leaves your GT3 RS in the dust.
This is why Lamborghin and Ferrari are using hybrid tech...because nobody in his/her right mind wants an EV sports car. For now.
When EVs hit the weight of current supercars, we can talk again but even then, the sound will be hideous.
Did you watch the video of the VW ID.R record EV run in Goodwood? Does someone here play GTA V? There is a toy remote car in this game called Bandito and it sounds exactly like the VW ID.R. Or for those who don't know GTA V: The VW ID.R sounds like a remote toy car. There...I said it. Wonderful sound to enjoy in a car... (where it that puke smiley when you need it ).
Speaking of accelerating EV tech development: This is actually the reason why I wouldn't buy any EV right now. What is new and good now, will be outdated and old in latest five years. EV tech development is accelerating fast, more and more car manufacturers and suppliers are investing in new EV tech, new developments are imminent and sensational EV tech breakthroughs not excluded at all.

The new Aventador will be a little bit less "stylish", this is just one of those "few off" cars which sell for big money and probably never really will see a road. It incorporates however some of the tech the new Aventador will have...hybrid and all.

Track-Only, Aventador-Based Supercar With 830 HP Teased By Lamborghini
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yh1YdmHsuZU
Now, it has dropped a teaser video previewing an all-new, track-only limited edition model based, once again, on the Aventador.
new hardcore Aventador-based model dubbed the ‘SVR’ that will be limited to track use, be produced at just 40 units worldwide
In the video’s description, Lamborghini says that it will be powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 delivering 830 HP, a full 60 hp more than the Aventador SVJ. We also know that the car will feature a 6-speed Xtrac sequential transmission and a bespoke limited-slip differential.
SCV12
- Track-only limited edition hypercar world première is scheduled for summer 2020
- The engine is the most powerful V12 from Lamborghini to date
- Aerodynamic efficiency and higher downforce levels than a GT3 car
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvbBg63LAz4
Sant’Agata Bolognese, 23 June 2020 – Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s track-only hypercar, the
Lamborghini SCV12, has completed its development programme and is now ready to hit the track
for its world première, scheduled for summer 2020.
Fitted with the most powerful V12 naturally aspirated engine from Lamborghini to date, the SCV12
– designed by the in-house Lamborghini Centro Stile – is capable of exceeding 830 hp thanks to
aerodynamic supercharging at high speed.
The SCV12 benefits from Lamborghini Squadra Corse’s GT motorsport expertise, using its racing
experience to produce increased aerodynamic efficiency and higher downforce levels than a GT3
car. The SCV12’s front bonnet has a double air intake and a central rib directing airflow to the ram-
air intake scoop located on the roof. This directs dynamic air pressure created by the car’s
movement to increase static air pressure in the engine’s intake manifold, creating greater airflow
through the engine and increasing power. The car’s clear track intent and aerodynamic efficiency is
further enhanced by the prominent splitter at the front, lateral flicks and vertical fins on the side
sills, while at the rear is a custom-built carbon fibre rear wing.
Several aspects of the SCV12 have been developed particularly for the hypercar, with specific
racing solutions devised by Squadra Corse engineers, including a new fully carbon fibre chassis
that allows for a greater power-to-weight ratio as well as the best handling and circuit driving
experience.
The lightweight chassis with rear-wheel drive incorporates a sequential six-speed gearbox as a
structural element within the chassis, reducing weight and enhancing weight distribution. Pushrod
rear suspension is system installed directly on the gearbox, while power is delivered on the track
courtesy of specially developed slick Pirelli tyres fitted on magnesium rims (19” front, 20” rear).
The SCV12 will be assembled entirely within the Lamborghini Squadra Corse factory in Sant’Agata
Bolognese, as a limited edition. Customers will become members of a very exclusive club: they will
participate in advanced driving programmes at some of the world’s most prestigious circuits, with
the technical assistance of Squadra Corse engineers and the special tutoring of Emanuele Pirro,
five-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Lamborghini Squadra Corse Special Projects
Consultant.

They basically fit in Aventador tech into a Huracan GT3 Evo body...this is going to be interesting.
Milking the cow...but maybe this car is better than it looks, it is a pity though that it isn't street legal.

PAG stumbled upon such a gold mine by accident. Wait till you see VAG roll out the race prep-ed MAN trucks...............

Sian Roadster
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMBq-wX7eC0
It shares parts with the Aventador SVJ but also includes a hybridized powertrain.
It has 819 horsepower, thanks to a 6.5-liter V12 and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system.
With over 800 horsepower and all-wheel drive(...)Lamborghini claims that the car reaches 60 miles per hour is less than 2.9 seconds, and onward to a top speed of nearly 218 mph.
19 units total
as much as $3,700,000.
Looks better than the couple. Color helps alot tho.
pierre:Italo:only a fool will buy this
Probably 19 of them.
Car is basically sold out.
The Sian is actually a prelude (design-wise) to the next Aventador generation. Thank god the new one gets a decent gearbox but the hybrid tech will be part of the new generation.

ale75:Do you know when aventador replacement arrived?
Old information suggested 2021 but with the pandemic and all and maybe a second, third, etc. wave, I don't have a clue. I still think that 2021 is on the table and 2022 for the Huracan successor (bye bye V10, only the Aventador successor gets to keep the V12).
Power was rumoured at around 800 hp from the start but since the new gearbox seems to have improved performance substantially, it could be slightly less (770 hp for the base model). Weight should be the same, despite the hybrid tech. Interesting car.
