Super Darius:
Francois, congrats again!to make what you make a person must have "balls".
coming back to LMP1,this is my idea about the stop of the Number 6 of Toyota. The Toyota 5 And the Porsche Number 2 make a splash and go at around 30 minutes from the end of the race, the 6 not....
sure if the 6 stop to splash the 2 would win the race, was faster And back only of a few seconds.
my idea is that the 6 was without fuel at the end of the race, they try to finish becouse they have no other solution...to try to win.
i'm wrong?
I'll try and answer your question:
If I'm understanding you correctly,I think there may be some confusion with the car numbers.
The #6 was already out of contention for the win (assuming the #2 and #5 survived) as it was a little over 3 laps behind the two leaders.
However it did stop on lap 374 for a splash of fuel and made it quite comfortably to the end.
The #5 stopped on lap 375 and took on board fuel. It only had to complete another 9 laps , and as it was capable of doing 14 lap stints, it was well fueled to the end.
The #2 stopped on lap 382 because it had an issue with a front tire. They had enough fuel to the end.
So reducing things down to the simplest form; I don't think fuel was an issue for any of the cars, assuming that the fuel rigs worked properly.
