I would think so Grant, but not something that would seriously impact on the overall price of the car though, maybe 6-10k at the most but I'm just guessing.
In Spain dealers do not have the monopoly of their brand make, anybody, even a supermarket can sell cars of any brand with official warranty and everything according to the law. So there are many dealerships that are called "multi-brand" which are basically a private business' dedicated to get on waiting lists for exclusive cars and they get them quick with their pull and sell then without you having to go to the official dealer and so on. So you can go there and drive off with any car inmediately, for a premium if the car is very exclusive. But if you are spending big $$$ on a car then the premium beats waiting a year
and they sell a lot of cars that way (I even saw an ENZO for 2004 delivery available a couple on months back). They also import cars that are not sold in europe, and sell used high-end cars as well. For example, these types of non-official dealers sold half of the total new Cayenne sales in Spain, they sold as much as the official delaers! the reason? their waiting lists were much much shorter than the official Porsche dealerships for more or less the same prices.
