bridggar:Good to read an honest, meaningful appraisal.. Will be interested in the McLaren comparison as I've got my eye on a seemingly reasonable 570S
Was looking at the 570S too since prices have gone down astronomically in the UK but kits the maintenance cost out of warranty that's a bit scary. Some people offer a yrs warranty for 3.5k which I guess is not too bad
Great article, thanks for the summary and sharing it here. What is the reason some of the cars have been sold very early, e.g. the 430 Scuderia and 16M? I was under the impression that most owners are very excited about these cars and tend to keep them in the stable. Obviously you found something better...
Also like your 675LT and 997 GT3 RS comparison. Do you still own both cars? I do believe that these two is quite a combination... coupe and convertible, n/a and turbocharged, dsg and manual... by now, the 720 Spider might be a worthy alternative?

I do still own both he 675LT Spider and 997.2 GT3 RS. We also have a 720S Spider which is a very different car and will likely add a 765LT Spider when they become available.
On the 430 Scuderia, it was traded for a 12C Spider as we had limited space at the time and it was one in one out. We did own the 16M for 2 years before trading it for the 675LT Spider, again as we had limited garage space at the time. My preference was actually for the 430 Scuderia as I never really bonded with the 16M. Here's the article comparing the two: https://karenable.com/ferrari-430-scuderia-vs-16m/
Seems as if none SSO's Ferrari's were covered by the new 7 year maintenance program. If his cars were covered by that program, would that mean that he would have incurred Zero costs for everything except the wear and tear items (Clutches, fuel cell, etc.) for first 7 years? I also wonder if that program is transferrable to the 2nd owner.
In any event, Ferrari maintenance is a picnic compared to Pagani or Bugatti.

Correct, all my Ferraris were pre the implementation of the 7 year maintenance scheme.
Any idea if LaFerrais and the SP1/SP2 are included in that?
