    I don't think you are reading my statements, but "reading" what you think I am saying.

    Go back and do so and you'll see that I'm not defending Rosberg, but calling out those who have defended Hamlton for doing the same thing in the past, while criticizing Rosberg now. The only difference between this and US 2015 is that in that case Rosberg ran completely off track to avoid the collision, whereas in Austria, Hamilton did not. 

     

    In Austria, Hamilton is in front, leading, why should he run off the track?  The race stewards agreed with us, hence slapping the penalty to Rosberg.

    In Austin 2015, Hamilton again was leading, in front.

    Earlier in Canada, again Hamilton was in front. 

    See a pattern? When Hamilton is in front, Rosberg will try and crash out Hamilton. Hell, even when Hamilton is behind, Rosberg will crash him out too, see Barcelona. 

    Going as far back as Belgium 2014, Rosberg also deliberately crashed into Hamilton.

    Oh boy, and I'm the one accused of being biased. The only pattern here is that some people believe Hamilton can do no wrong and defend him for doing the same thing they criticize others for.

    In both cases, US & Austria, the important thing is the overlap, not who is in the lead. In Canada, your bias is evident as you don't even have your facts straight: since they touched wheels, straight on, neither car was "in front". At Spa, Hamilton was in the wrong because he tried to "close the door" on a car alongside, and already at the limits of the track. At Barcelona, Hamilton ran himself off road by attempting a maneuver that any intelligent driver would have know was stupid, when he could easily have gone around the outside.

    I don't get this fighting about favoring one driver over the other. Gees, they are not running for president and there is no vote.  Certainly we can get to other minutiae about F1 or discuss drivers errors and successes from a less emotional perspective?  It's a sport.

    It is a valid strategy to run into your closest competitor as long as you are ahead in championship points. This has been known for awhile and it's not news to Lewis. Almost makes one reluctant to jump into the early point lead because then you have to play that role. Austria shows that Lewis knows how to keep his distance and also hot to take a hit and leave your car intact. There is definitely a skill to that. He is the f1 ninja now since he came out on top in Austria.  Nonetheless Nico had to do it especially if his car was failing him. No question. Lewis is clearly aware of the situation as whoopsy pointed out. It is obvious. They are both professionals so sit back and enjoy. Learn about human nature.

    You're right, because in that video, Hamilton clearly turns hard into Rosberg. Until now, I had been blaming Rosberg, but the video clearly shows he was not at fault.

    And, yes, the Spa crash was Hamilton's fault, and Hamilton ran himself off track in Barcelona, stupidest move I have ever seen by a Formula 1 driver.

    Hmm, so you are so blinded that you didn't see Rosberg didn't even try to make the corner? Did Rosberg and you are the only one in the world that didn't see that was a CORNER? Not a STRAIGHT? Of course Hamilton needs to turn in to MAKE the corner!!

    You surely knows how to drive, so you will of course know when and where corner entries are and corner apexes too. 

    I guess you and Rosberg are the only 2 person in the world that thinks the same. Here is the quote from the Stewards' ruling

    The stewards said: "Having taken note of the extensive evidence given by both drivers and the video and telemetry data, it was apparent that Car 44 (HAM) was in front of Car 6 (ROS) – i.e. more than fully alongside – and that the driver of Car 44 could have clearly made the turn (T2) on the track, if not for the resultant collision.  

    "Car 6 did not allow Car 44 "racing room" and hence the driver of Car 6 was responsible for the collision."

    The championship leader was also awarded two penalty points for the accident and a reprimand for not having stopped while his car was damaged.

    "We do note the extenuating circumstances and the fact that the driver of Car 6 (ROS) did slow down significantly and attempted to mitigate the risk to other drivers and cars," the stewards added.

     

    Case closed fully. Argument done. Or as someone might say, checkmate. Smiley
