CloseFor info - I received notification of a recall for my 991.1 to retrofit a heat shield - not that they can do it yet given the pandemic, but it seems there have been a few instances of engine fires due to "foreign objects" left in the engine compartment? I seem to recall something mentioned on here before, but didn't think they'd recall & retrofit a fix.

Just received the same notification too today from PCGB ...they.re claiming its due to some cleaning components stuck in between the heat shield !
I'm kinda glad as just over a year ago, a rodent stashed a load of dry dog biscuits in my car. Took me ages to suck them out of the front using a dyson & had to get the undertrays removed to get rid of the rest. Ever since then, when the engine gets reasonably hot there is a stench of cooked dog food from the engine bay. Porsche wanted £300+ to remove the rear bumper & clean it - presumably they'll have to remove the rear bumper to fit this shield so hopefully I can get it cleaned at the same time!

Same here! always shaved since I can remember, never had a beard in life, well I do now... started as a joke between my brother and I and now that its its grown I quite like it actually so I'm leaving it on... after getting the wife's stamp of approval of course.

Seems to be an international thing. So many of my friends doing home working have stoped shaving since lockdown . It became like a joke between us through whatsapp group
