Whoopsy:the-missile:I prefer the old fashioned style
Me too, the last gen Aston styling worked so well for so long. They still looked good.
Your V12 Vantage S is epic...

I too find that aston should have stayed true to its design and worked more on tech. especially electronics switch gear and so on.
the db11 design wise does nothing for me. I simply prefer the old design language. traditional british gt's
they just didn't have the funds.
the v12 is an aston engine. not merc.

That's part of the aerodynamics package Aston-Martin is using on its cars. It is called a curlicue and following is the definition from Aston-Martin: https://astonmartins.com/glossary_term/curlicue/

Thanks for the info, impressive! But I am with spud here; you can probably polish a turd, but it will still be a turd. You can call it curlicue or Margaret if you want to, but it remains an ugly thing if you ask me.

Just provided an explanation of the technology. Never stated that one agrees with the appearance of the aforementioned technological device. There is not one Aston-Martin in the current lineup one would consider when compared with the old, and now replaced, models.
KMM:And people complain about the rear of the 992?
Yes, because the 992 is supposed to be a Porsche, not an Aston Martin.
We're at the point where you can be the fastest or just sound like you're the fastest.
The secret of life is to admire without desiring.

It's not the fender vent itself that looks odd. That's actually a really cool design detail. Is the body panel angle at the bottom where it appears to meet the side skirt at a very awkward angle. This is not present in the AM models that have the same side vent design.
