My trip to the Zuffenhausen Porsche Factory and Musuem...

Hey! I got back from my Germany/London trip and while in Germany we stopped at Stutgart (sp?) for a really cool tour of the Porsche factory! They wouldnt allow pictures in the factory but i snapped some of the musuem and the factory exterior. It was a really cool tour and I think if any Porsche owners are in Germany they should stop and check the factory out. And no we didnt take delivery on a car

But the 997 S is coming by Christmas (for dad)

Awesome!

Great timing as i was about to post in a couple of days something about this. Maybe you and others who are informed can answer me.

In February 2005 i'm planing a Ski trip together with a Germany visit, more precisely Heidelberg. I'm planing to visit Stuttgart, and obviously all that is related to Porsche!

So, what is there to visit?
I know there's the Porsche Museum (free entrance right?), the Porsche Zuffenhausen Centre and factory, and nearby the Porsche research centre, aka Weissach

Can anyone visit the factory? What about Weissach?
I'm willing to do anything.

Any other things you sugest? Gimme some info please.

ummm im having some computer problems, i will post the other pictures later..

to answer your guys questions: Stuttgart wasnt that amazing except for the porsche factory. I dont know how to get a tour. my dad did that all, i would contact your dealer or call porsche directly. I would reccommend seeing the museum and the tour was great TONS of porsches in stuttgart! And MUCHEN was nice too! Heiedleberg was REALLY cool, i loved that town! definatly go there and also go see NUESHWANSTEIN castle in Fussen, that was incredible... hope that answers some questions and good luck with your own trips!

interesting to see a boxster with a hardtop in your first picture

the hardtop looks the SAME as the 986 one, mabye they kept it (just like the 997 Roof panel HAHAHA)

yes, your dealer could organize a factory tour for you, it's free of charge. I'm heading there next week

We did the tour during the factory collevtion last week. There were lots of people on the tour without picking up a car. There is only one English language tour a day though I think 10am or so.

Hello there iberian addicts and maniacs.

Depending on how you get there. If you travel there by car and in our Porsche you can even drive and park in the factory area between all the latest production cars (see pirctures earlier).

The museum entry is free and it is open all day/week. Guided tours through the plant are once or twice a day and guided by retired Porsche employes.

Guys Porsche is my middle name and I drive one. BELIEVE ME YOU GOT TO SEE IT, you got to feel IT.

BUT don't ski around Heidelberg, believe me. Go to St. Anton (my hometown) a few K's further.

Just skiing in Andorra.
