Counting down the days, we're heading down to Le Mans on Thursday in a little Porsche convoy, ready for 4 days of bbq, beer and top-level racing!

I was invited by P-HQ to go there as well but unfortunately I had a prior commitment which could not wriggle out of......but I will try to watch as much as possible on TV...the race seems to be shaping up as an epic high-tech high- speed endurance battle between Audi and Porsche, with Toyota not far behind at all.

So excited for the race! Porsche just went 1-2 in qualifying in P1 and 8-10-12 in class in GTE-Pro. It's crazy how the BoP have favored the Ford GTs so much, though; disappointingly so.
Porsche is being fed to the wolves in GTE Pro, the works-2016 RSR are 4 sec a lap off the pace, while the top 7 Ford GT and Ferrari 488 GTE are all within 0.5 sec.
Outdated tech and unfavorable BoP. Why bother?

Last year, the GT pole sitter ran a 3:54.9 in qualifying. This year, the Ford GTs and 488s were running 3:55s in practice sessions but ran 3:51s and 3:52s in qualifying, while the rest of the GT field was still running 3:55s, with only a single 911 RSR managing a 3:54.9
