A few minor details about Boxster introduction in the USA
Official on-sale launch date is January 15th 2005.
The following two "launch car" versions will be available at US dealers by that time:
Basalt black met. Boxster with a black top and a black standard leather option.
Other options: heated seats, windstop, automatic climate control, sound package plus, Boxster S 18'' wheels.
Midnight blue met. Boxster S with metropol blue top and stone grey full leather option.
Other options: heated seats, windstop, bi-xenon frontlight package, Bose surround sound system, 19'' Carrera S wheels, A/C with full climate control.
There has been also a rumor that some select dealers might get a PCCB equipped Boxster S but this hasn't been confirmed yet. It is also surprising to see that none of the launch cars has the Chrono Sport package. Maybe some dealers were afraid that they can't sell the launch cars with that "nice" looking stop watch on the dash.
