    keep the front plate in your trunk, if you get pulled over for it (unlikely) tell the officer you've got the special mount from germany on order

    Thats true - Is it possible to mount it in the front
    air dam??

    I already talked to the police and they said all they
    care about is seeing the numbers.

    Yeah, California definetly sucks! While the rest of the nation freezes, we can go screw around like you in the beautiful weather! Anyways, congrats, the car is amazing!

    if you HAVE To see the numbers, get a sticker with your plate numbers on it.

    Thanks guys. I've got the plates but I'm still driving with the promotional as you can see. So, if you don't have plates(Mr. Orifice)then you certainly can't be expected to have anything on the front That 'll work for a while until I use plan "B".

    Really nice Pics Surf, its amazing how much cleaner the cars look without the number plates... oh and the fantastic Caly Sunshine seems to help as well!!
    By the way here in sunny london we currently have rain and really nice grey skys!!! Cool

    Anyway, what type of black is she Surf? Flat or Basalt??

    I wish they all could be California cars. In New England we like the "variety." Hmmmfff. In Massachusetts we had a window, when the plates were stamped green on white, when only a rear plate was issued. So as long as you transfer your classic looking plate from car to car--no front plate required.

    According to the window sticker it's just "black." Not sure if they have any other description for a gloss black in US?

    I gravitate to the color ones. The clear looks bland imo. I'm assuming everyone likes them because it makes the car look European or I know, it's pretty hard to convince the die hards otherwise.

    Here in the US, black (as on Porsches) and flat black are two very different colors. Not sure why everyone calls the Porsche black "flat black".
