    Did the Taycan run a quicker 0-60 when competing against the Model S?  Someone interested in numbers here will find it.

    look at Taycan Turbo S which is about 500kg+ heavier and is as fast as the turbo S...992.2 Turbo S with 200kg more with this 130ish hp in EV will be ballistic.

    Recall that Lamborghini has employed supercapacitors for its Sian hybrid.  This reduces the weight significantly and utilizes the hybrid only for torque fill.

    Think 918. It is on the piggy side but handle great. PAG is in control in that particular scenario.

    Think 918. It is on the piggy side but handle great. PAG is in control in that particular scenario. 

    However, the 918 is broadly the same weight as the 992 turbo s... With all the power the 918 offers this comparatively low weight is quite an achievement Smiley

    AutoBILD Sports Cars, real testing.

    Performante 0-100 kph in 2.6 seconds and 0-200 kph in 8.3 seconds.

     

    BTW, which test was this? All Performante 0-200 tests I could find were around 9s (8.8 or even 9.2). Typical 0-200 seems around 9s, based on German car magazines Smiley

    You cannot compare test from different car magazines with each other because each car magazine uses different test methods (equipment, track/road surface, one with one person, others with two persons, full tank, etc.).

    No problem but here's the thing: Some Performante, especially earlier production cars, had engines with low(er) hp output. On paper 640 hp, in reality more close to 600. Smiley Audi had a similar problem with their Audi R8 Plus in the beginning. This is the downside of n/a engines, they often do not produce the power they claim they have.

    Also, running them in properly is essential to performance and maybe it helps that I always use 102 octane fuel (Aral Ultimate 102) Smiley, especially when it gets hot outside in summer (avoiding a heat soak or delaying it).

    BTW, saw a white Aventador some days ago. Just by the looks this is an extremely attractive car Smiley

    The Aventador SVJ is a piece of art. You really need to see this car live, touch it, look at it, sit in it. Unbelievable. It drives like crap though (gearbox is ancient tech), even if the engine is a masterpiece. (Straight line) performance is pretty bad for such a car in my opinion, only at speeds above 220/230 kph, it really drives away (slowly) from my Performante. What a shame. With the right gearbox, this car would have been a monster.

    My son said if he had a lot of money, he would put a SVJ in his living room, just as a piece of art. Smiley

    The next Aventador gen could finally put McLaren under pressure but knowing Lamborghini (and especially the VW Group behind it), I am pretty sure that performance will be great this time but the price will be also much higher, so no real alternative to the bang for the buck approach of McLaren.

    V12 n/a hybrid engine, new DCT gearbox (finally!!!), weight around the same of the current car, maybe 50-80 kg less (there are contradicting rumors available regarding the weight).

    Substantial (whatever this means) performance increase due to hybrid tech and new DCT gearbox.

    Power rumoured around 750 to 800 hp. ALA 3 could be standard tech.

    This is all I have... 

    Release rumoured for 2021 (2021 was the year I heard before the pandemic, so... Smiley).

    I also heard recently that Lamborghini has made it a priority for their engineers to find a possibility to keep as much sound as possible with GPF and new emissions/sound emissions standards. So slightly different to the Porsche/AMG approach (cars are getting quieter on purpose).

    Car Wow, especially when it includes the parvenu, has become unbearable to watch. However, the 911 Turbo did post a near identical time of 10.2 seconds compared with its 10.1 second time recorded on the same series.  That's incredibly impressive.

    And someone was doubting a ringer car cause the other car was a press car..............................

    It is said before, numbers Porsche released are minimum expectation number, pretty much anyone can achieve or beat. 

    Other companies released highly optimized numbers that no one else can get close to.

    Thanks Guys. Yes, the black painted calipers really accentuates the rims and large wheels. Exhaust note with sports exhaust not much louder under hard acceleration than standard exhaust on previous Turbo but it is certainly much better at idling and low speeds. It now has a nice burble to it. Carplay on bluetooth a nice addition and Bose sound more than adequate - had Burmester in previous car and it was overkill. Alcantara multi-function steering wheel also a good option.

    Yes, they do have OPF but you can still fit aftermarket from a regulatory point of view. Just not sure if technically possible on this car and what it will do to warranty.

    A very nice car kiss Black painted clippers is such a good choice on this clean looking car, makes it look lighter and more agile .  For the moment , the only 992 I like is the Turbo ( S ) , as the over bloated aspect of the 992 only works in this iteration
