You forced me to tell y'all
For a couple years I had a 1988 Jaguar XJ-S with a buckskin leather interior. (My wife approved of the car)
Everything was going well until one day a friend of mine said, "Gee, your interior looks gay!" (not that there's anything wrong with that).
Got rid of the car later because of endless mechanical problems.
But ever since that comment I never saw the interior the same way. Since then I am vastly more aware of the interior materials and color, which is totally ironic, wouldn't you say?
Everything was going well until one day a friend of mine said, "Gee, your interior looks gay!" (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Not quite on topic, but looking at those pictures i can't help being awed by the beauty of the 997 
The poise, the allure, the shape's smoothness, the way it looks like it lurches forwards even when standing still... a masterpiece of design
Retro or not, those headlights are a perfect fit for the evolved shape..

Yeh, I don't like that interior at all, I'm sorry.
Personally, I like dark interiors but if you absolutly have to go light(er) than the beige color that is popular in Ferrari's is nice.
By the way Max, where are you from? I'm very curious

I would suggest cocoa or (if still available) cinnamon brown leather. I saw the latter on a slate grey 996 Turbo and it looked absolutely beautifull. It doesn't have the redish/pinkish tone of the terracota. Maybe natural brown would suit as well. Don't forget to post pics I'm really curious to see a slate grey 997.

I'm also curious to see a slate grey 997. I'm thinking about the interior colour and spoke to the dealer today (when he phoned to tell me I couldn't order a sports exhaust) and he thought black was the best option if I didn't want to spend extra on the interior colour. Can you get brown for the 997?

Beautiful in my opinion.....now deviate the carpet to black and it would be even better!
Cinnamon brown I believe is gone for the 997....nice color though. Natural Brown looks awesome with slate, seen a few 996s in that scheme....

In my opinion the ineterior looks great!!!. I was going for that interior in the 997S, but its a bit expensive, and then went to beige!.
Again that 997S with that combo is probably one of the best choices.....apart from the interior:beige and exterior:seal greay (mine)hehehe

IMO dark interiors look best.
Sorry but terracotta just doesn't do it for me...Although I really do need to witness the colour on an actual car to truly endorse my view.
What about resale, do you think interior colour might effect values? If so would you change your choice?

Love the slate/cinnamon pics...I tried ordering my slate with cinnamon (special interior order) but porsche said they could only give me a black stearing wheel and shifter and could not deviate the carpet yet...TOO EARLY IN THE ORDERING PROCESS...oh well...Im looking forward to taking my slate/terracotta delivery in next 3 weeks...will post pics
