The problem started with the brands not wanting to go to auto shows anymore. Cost became unjustified.
In Geneva we have the same problem at a smaller level as it is on neutral territory so no need for the brands to defend their territory or avoid the competitions s one.
But even so , in a smaller mesure , quite a few brands have canceled their presence ( started about 3 years ago with Opel , then Mini , Land Rover etc...
The Geneva auto show has to reinvent itself too if it wants to survive . There will be much more interactif stuff .
lt could probably be the only serious car show left in Europe . It never became too big and stayed with an approchable spirit . People can get close to the cars , even sit in nearly all of them .
