Your close but would take issue with your final sentence.. Driving experience is a cop out term. It’s purely subjective with little meaning. Visionary is forward looking which many on this blog have difficulty comprehending.

I have noticed several complimentary posts recently from nberry on threads featuring some rather old cars. Clearly has an appreciation for more than just new vehicles. I think in the US this car would sell about as well as an Alfa 4C which would not be worth Toyota's effort.

The thing is, since it's a homologation special, they are only bothering to make something like 25,000 cars, which will easily sell out in RoW given the amazing acceptance it has had, so why bother going through the homologation process to sell it in the US.

I think it would sell much better, given the all-weather nature of the Toyota vs the 4C. People in the US buy quite a lot of Subaru WRX/STI, the Evo when it was made, etc.

Carlos, keep in mind that the 25k number includes right hand drive ones, the standard cars without the track pack OR the ones with the convenience pack PLUS a weird Japanese edition with less power and a CVT transmission.
Also there are quotas per country. All in all makes the GR a rare sight in real life. Especially the track pack ones.
And especially the red ones 
(white is the color mostly chosen by two thirds of the people; granted there are two whites, a standard and a pearl one).

in all seriousness though, the attraction of the Yaris to many supercar owners is that it is actually very powerful and fast. The same can’t be said about the Fiesta even if it may be more fun (in a FWD hot hatch sort of way).
