    I got pulled over 2 hours after picking up my 997S

    Is this a record? The officer was really nice and let me off with a warning. He seem very interested in the car, though. Asked a lot of questions. Now, I know I didn't deserve to be pulled over and if I was in any other car, I wouldn't have been.

    Anyways, the car is fantastic! It is fully loaded except for the following options:

    1) rear wiper
    2) parking assist.

    What was funny was the way one guy drove slowly by my open garage with my 997S parked inside. It looked like he couldn't believe his eyes and he was straining pretty hard to see this car. My wife was laughing

    It's funny but I never swear in everyday life, but when I see a cop and he tries to nail me in one of my hot cars I let out a string of expletives which would shock most people.

    They are such ********.

    Like every guy with a nice car is a dangerous, wreckless, threat to the health and well being of the community.

    The **** that pulled you over is trying to tell you something? How dare he!

    Yeah he was interested in the car but also wanted to jerk your chain and was hoping that you had doughnuts in the back seats.



    oh: Congratulations!!!!! and I wish that getting stopped in World Record Time used up all your bad luck for the life of the car!!

    Get use to it. The attention is unavoidable. It is nice in ways but also not so nice..

    You beat my record by the way. I got pulled over in my Audi after two days. You were 46 hours quicker!

    Hey, bring your 997S to Crystal Cove in the AM. That's before 7:00AM Saturday(if you want to display your car) at Crystal Cove Promenade along PCH in Newport Beach. It's the best impromtu car show anywhere(period) in case your not familiar. Lots of P-cars and F-cars plus everything else. You can leave the cops behind btw. I'll be there in mine providing it doesn't rain. Say hi if you make it.

    Sorry bro, I'll catch it next week. 7AM is pretty early for me, the wife and the 4 year old on a Saturday. The only thing I get up that early for is golf

    Congratulations! Not to sound like a broken record, but what carseat are you using and how does it fit in the back? Can't wait to transport my 3 year old in the 997S arriving in Feb. Pics of the carseat would be greatly appreciated!

    Alin,
    The booster seat is a Graco TurboBooster seat. It works fine. You just have to realize that the rear seat back cushion in the Porsche is practically vertical. So, since the booster seat back cushion has a small angle, the bottom cushion will be sticking out about 4 inches. See the picture below and you'll see what I mean.

    I liked the seat so much that I have two, one for my wife's car and one for my Acura. I went ahead and ordered the Porsche seat from Tequipment since I need a third seat. I'm expecting that seat will be more of a better fit, both for the back and the front seat of the Porsche.

    Thanks for the pics! Can anyone fit in the front passenger seat with the booster in the back?

    Yes, I did. I live in Corona Del Mar so I took that baby down PCH after leaving the dealership. Very nice way to break that car in . Better than the 405! And yes, I tried to keep the revs below 4200 RPM. It got away from me a couple times, though.
