    Good news for Carrera GT customers!!!

    Steady improvements in assembly processes, since Carrera GT production started, have resulted in significantly reduced Carrera GT production times. Porsche now has the opportunity to pull forward most of the remaining production of MY 2005 and MY 2006 cars. This means that customers will see their cars arrive at their dealerships much sooner than originally anticipated.

    This improvement in production timing will not result in any additional worldwide production. The maximum number of Carrera GTs that will be built worldwide will be 1,500 units as announced by Dr. Wiedeking on several occasions.

    i hear that porsche will make stiching in 3 color choices: red, yellow, white. sounds like a cool option
    the stiching will be on the seats, steering wheel and the bottom of the gear lever.
    but the black stiching will still be avalible

    Also 3 color choices for brake calipers.

    Even tho Porsche is committed to only 1500 CGTs...it would seem that unless they are losing money on each one that they will end up producing more of them as "special editions"

    Today I saw the 11th Carrera GT that was delivered by my dealer here in France.
    This car drives me crazy!

    Porsche will not be able to sell 1500 CGTs.

    Although a couple of seemingly seasoned guys on the various chat boards seem to have gotten CGT recently and claim clutch is a non-issue.....could P have recently improved/changed production tolerances of clutch?...thus these mixed reviews?

    If I'm not mistaking wasn't the yellow already available?? The Red and White believe are new but then again I'm not really a buyer or anything so I mean I'm not sure But I believe I do have pictures of a Yellow car with a black interior and yellow stitching and will post if you wish.

    you should see the prices for these options., 5000 for painted calipers. its blatant rape.

    if you could afford a $440,000, $5,000 more would seem like nothing...Apparently for me though $5,000 is alot for painted calipers

    i'm sure the money isnt the issue. its the idea.

    its just off the chart.

    i can understand why the car costs 440k, and i am willing to pay that, even for percieved value, however, it is just insane to charge that price for calipers.

    but this is capitalism, they do, because they can, and oh boy, at porsche, they DO.

    The reason why there is a speed up in production is becouse the carbon fibre chassis is being built by the same company as Enzos and since the last enzo rolled out the same company can now monufucture more cgts
