    Lessons learned:

    The sports car enthusiast should go for the Boxster S ... the perfectly balanced roadster !!! Cruisers can save some money and go for the Benz.

    now that the boxster interior is imporved, the Merc's ain't got nothing. even the last generation SLK interior wasnt great anyway.

    i think last gen's SLK has a great interior!!!
    i drove the SLK 320...fully loaded...

    i'm still torn b/w the Boxster and the SLK though

    I looked at the SLK - and was very disappointed by the tacky interior. With the possible exception of the AMG version it is still a tart cart IMHO.

    Just the name AirScarf does not sound quite right.

    I currently drive a SLK230 tart car (and have been described as a tart by some women ) but now have decided to go for the "poor-mans Porsche" instead.

    Having driven a 2000 Boxster S for a few days in England once, I just loved the drive (power, grip) but was disappointed with the interior compared to the SLK. Felt too plastic.

    I am happy that most reviews tend to give the Boxster S a higher rating then the SLK350. And a recent review on 4cars of the SLK 55 AMG is not so complimentary about the 7G-Tronic gearbox. Anyway an automatic in a sports car?

    I just wish the standard Boxster had a little bit more power and the S had a bit more too...Other than that the Boxster looks great! Much better than the 997
