    Re: MotoGP

Pretty good race with VR coming through the field to 2nd after poor qualifying and a dreadful start.  Too far back to challenge JL, but had passed both MM and AD before they both crashed inexplicably at the same time without contact!

Another bad day for AI, but MV took his first podium and now looks certain to join JL at Ducati next year.

    Italy next!!!

    @xander71

you were damn right, Dorna & Co are really doing everything in order thar VR46 will secure his 10th title!!

And Ducati, JL & MM will be without any chance in the race against THE DOCTOR...

    @xander71

after yesterdays race I realy have to apologize, you were totaly right, everything is playing in the cards of VR46 as you mentioned it!!Smiley

Yamaha deliberately had exploded Rossis engine just before he could overtake JL and Dorna was giving the order to do soSmiley

What a sad result for Vale, he was way the fastest out there on the WE, not only because of the pole but also because he was the fastest on the long runs, BUT... Smiley

Nevertheless it will be a great season and hopefully he'll catch up

    Re: MotoGP

ok guys, just tell me how many poles have rossi in the last years??  i think like 5/6 in the last 6 years including the 2 of this year!!!! just to tell you that is it not a bit strange that this year he has got 2 poles??? since he get older and as we know he is not a pole man but more a race man as he says...

and he has won 10 races in the last 6 years, when lorenzo 35 races, so what i'm saying is that rossi is the man for the show of the motogp only he can create show and business for the motogp while the rest all togheter cant.

I say that when he has those great results probably he got some special help with the tyres!! since all the people involved in the motogp is talking about this thing for many years, maybe something true it maybe is??? or even not!!! nobody knows, but as far I can see and know since my past in motorsport it is impossible to improve much only with some set up adjustments!!!  but anything can be, i have my opinion.

About yesterday , well shit happens everywhere and also the yamaha engine can explode, Lorenzo was lucky that he got that problem in the practice.

    Re: MotoGP

    Woah, what a race!
After last year's Rossi vs Marquez incident, I am a huge supporter of MArquez, so I was on the edge of my seat the last couple of laps! What a nice drive of both Lorenzo and Marquez! I felt sorry for Rossi a bit, especially with all the yellow hype going on. Also, I felt like the race lost a lot of it's excitement after his retiring, though the last 5 laps more than made up for that.

    Re: MotoGP

Interesting to see that suddenly both Yamahas and MV struggled just because of the change in turn 12?!

I doubt MM's pace for the race, the pole lap was a masterpiece, but he'll not maintain it in the race.

Looking forward to the warm up, JL & VR have to go back to school and try to find something "magic"...

    Re: MotoGP

    WHAT A RACE... VALE!!!

Fantastico, Valentino is like good red wien, the older the better!

AI has to be banned for at least one race, he's realy a maniac and is riding way to dangerous.
Extrem poor performance from JL, cry baby can only win if everything is perfect and other riders have technical issues.
    He'll have a "nice time" @Ducati :-P

    Re: MotoGP

Enjoyed today's race. Cheering for Marquez all race long and being disappointed in the end, but there were some fantastic moments in this race. Awesome to see Rossi and Marquez shaking hands after the race.

    Re: MotoGP

Terrible to see this outcome from his cycling accident.  Kept hoping he would pull through.

    Nicky Hayden Passes Away

Being from the same town have some fond memories watching his Moto GP success.  When I'd be in town and out training on my road bike he and his brother would occasionally roll up and ride along on their motorcycles (very slowly), talk for a bit then rocket off.  He was definitely a good ol' boy who enjoyed having fun.  Will be missed.

    Re: MotoGP

Incredible to see someone passes away who has been doing high risk activities all his life and then gets killed on a bike doing some excercise!! laugh

Reminds totally of Michael Schumacher who suffered as well serious injuries in his time off

    Re: MotoGP

NO! I hadn't heard the news yet.... Wow that is so sad! Rest in peace Nicky!

    Re: MotoGP

    RIP Angel Nieto surprise

The 13 times motorcycling world champion  legend and motoGP commentator was riding his quad in Ibiza when he got rear ended by a distracted driver in a car. In spite of the helmet, head trauma was severe and while it seemed for a couple of days that he was making a recovery suddenly he had complications and brain edema and died yesterday night. He was 70 years old but fully active and healthy, so sad, was a great guy, no one ever had anything bad to say about him, and that was important to him, that type of guy.

It's pretty sad when the guys who cheat death their whole professional lives end up dying or getting hurt in accidents like this. Seemed like a great person and that's a shitty way to go. RIP.

    Re: MotoGP

It's typical to say good things when someone does but in this case it's not just typical talk,  even all the current MotoGP riders loved him, years ago when Rossi equaled Angel Nieto's record of 90 GP victories that Angel had, Angel went to the finish line with a riding suit with the incription saying "Bravo Valentino 90" to pay tribute to Rossi, and when Rossi won the race, Rossi told him to take his bike and ride the winners honor lap around the track with it and him on the back, Angel didn't want to but Rossi insisted, what a moment. Later Rossi admitted that the pressure on the last maps was enormous because he knew that Angel was waiting for him with the suit and a sign saying "Valentino, the bike loves you" and didn't want to let him down.
