Test drove a 600LT spider today. Drove to dealer in my GT3.
wow the car is savage. On full acceleration it’s so savage you can’t see out of the rear view mirror it’s moving so much. The engine sounds and feel agricultural at first under light load. But omg it comes alive on heavy throttle. Great ride and traction - it’s warm here today thankfully. 60f. My GT3 felt very civilized in comparison. I can see why people buy them.
drove the 720s also. So so different but the power omg choices choices. The 750LT would be such next level.

I drove one too and it is explosively fast, if you turn off TC. Otherwise, it’s down on power significantly (but still pulls way harder than GT3).

For me the biggest adjustment other than the thrust were the brakes. They require a lot more pressure than the GT3. The brake and gas pedal are also v close to each other. Oh and it was a convertible. Come on porsche GT3 cab please.

If you have a failure on track and you did not get the pre and post track inspection, then the warranty claim can be denied.
These days, there is a pretty high likelihood of having your track exploits posted to social media or Youtube by spectators (particularly if you have a problem that needs warranty attention)...

It's a sobering thing to hear/read that. I always considered 600LT/675LT as worthy successors to the GT3 but these things don't help their case...

I will let you know my experience - getting mine tomorrow. So far nothing like this. Seems v much more about the dealer. The product needs to respected for what it is. Very advanced technology that’s in the leading edge.

No this is not good news, but there is also some bad news this morning from Porsche-land. Our friend, Peter (Trakcar) has had his warranty voided by Porsche (no explanation yet), as he needs a brand new PDK for his 991.2 GT3 RS. He is very upset and considering selling for an AMG GTR Pro...

That’s going to end up costing Porsche a lot more than covering a pdk replacement. Trakcar is a tremendous ambassador for the brand. I hope the situation gets rectified. As I also hope James’ ownership experience with the 600lt improves, what a nitemarish story so far.

--Are the facts behind this rejection known?
Has the car been modified in any way?
Since Mercedes AMG are being mentioned, would they cover their customer under the same circumstances?

I've read about this incident on rennlist.com.
There seems to be a leaky PDK gearbox. Was the gearbox damaged on the track mechanically or has the leakage originated from a small track accident e.g. the suspension bottoming due to a bump at very high speed and the gearbox touching the road surface?
The owner seems to have been a big Porsche fan and customer but the way the incident has been publicized all over the internet might hinder PAG from making a discreet goodwill payment. Porsche might elect to sacrifice a good buyer rather than than have hundreds of track aficionados asking to be covered for a variety of incidents.
BTW, I know that Manthey are owned by Porsche as a racing outfit, but are their modifications to road cars warranted by PAG?

the-missile:Manthey modifications are warrantied by Manthey. The untouched parts remains under Porsche warranty. There is an agreement between the 2 parties.
He went to Manthey as an authorized Porsche dealer warranty center at the Ring. No modifications there - just to address leak. Hopefully, this will be resolved after the holidays...

Agree
Cannot think of many who have done more for Porsche in forums
And James,
a dreadful story. Astonishing that this sort of conduct could occur at any level of retail industry, let alone in the world of ultra-luxury goods.
I am surprised McLaren have not stepped in to shut it down by dealing with you directly.
If I was MD at Woking I would have Lando Norris deliver the replacement to your front door
