Got the car home - only put 30miles on it. The brakes will take some getting used to. You have to push 3-4x harder than the Porsche or Aston. The ride is great. The sound is good. Not amazing but good enough. The bucket seats feel like they suck you in. Thankfully since the power is nuts. I will have to reprogram myself with this car. Reminds me when I first got my 991 Turbo S but 2 levels beyond. Only 50F here so the tires weren’t getting very warm. I can only imagine the traction in warmer weather. It will be like a spaceship and light speed compared to anything I have ever driven before. More photos later. Excuse the garage picture. Now I need to finish its remodeling.

Not sure if your leasing or bought it new or used. If you bought it new, be prepared for epic depreciation. But I'm sure you already know that.
Having everything is nice, but it's even nicer to make sure everything you've got is actually worth having.

I leased it. It’s a Mclaren demo car - had 600miles on it. 2500miles a year and don’t care about depreciation. Perfect! I will drive it to the full.

Got some heat into the tires today. 46F here. Took sometime for them turn from blue to black on the display and they reached 80F which was interesting to see. But omg the power and the handling. On a whole new level versus anything I have ever experienced. It’s like it got a time warp device in it. And the handling balance is just so inspiring. I am used to the GT3 but this is way beyond in capability. I have P Zero ‘Corsas on.

I leased it. It’s a Mclaren demo car - had 600miles on it. 2500miles a year and don’t care about depreciation. Perfect! I will drive it to the full.

great 600LT video. But given my 600LT drive the video still doesn’t do it justice. Such a savage thing.
back on thread - found my 720S sounds so good in track mode. Much more of a deep bark than in comfort or even sport. Rain all day tomorrow here. Will be stealing the model 3 performance from the missus to drive some more.

I would love to be a passenger just once in the 720. I have seen them in person and sat in one but in my lifetime that is likely all I will ever get. I’m fascinated by the 2500 mile lease. What are the terms? If I had that car I would go through that in a week. Super car rental in Vegas May be an alternate.

It’s a regular 36month 2500miles per year lease. The payment is quite a bit less than my Porsche dealer wants for a new 991.2 Turbo S coupe. No brainer. Will post my views on the T3 on the Tesla thread. But sneaked in about 40miles in it without my wife realizing

Congrats to this beautiful and amazing car. Some month ago I was lucky to catch a taxi drive with a pro driver on a race track and the performance (not only straight line) of the 720S is just brutal, even with street tires and all the flashing and binging warning lights. The 720s also was the only McL that did not have a technical failure that day.

Do the various car safety tests, like Euro NCAP etc. assess the risk of fire following a crash? I wonder.
It won't be of any use if someone survives the violence of the crash due to the safely designed shell or the carbon tub to find himself subsequently in flames.

I actually wonder if all sports car manufacturers, especially the smaller ones, actually do crash test their cars and if they are obligated to do so by the law?
