Agree the 997 is the best looking car in that line-up... 991's are not the prettiest cars if you seem them side to side to a 997. angry

the 991 RS's look bulky but the regular 3 look good Smiley

That is true . The 991 GT3 is more pleasant to the eyes from the back then the RS  . The problem on the RS , as with the Turbo, are the flat hips . But the RS looks sportier and more of a beast ... just the car to have Smiley

Last news about my RS .

It is probably a sensor ....... but to get to that sensor , they have to take the engine out .

Has the RS been fixed yet? I hope it's running again.

Re: Dave and Gnil @ Nürburgring Nordschleife

It took nearly 4 weeks  to get my car back . I missed a first event due to the problem ( it happened after 30 min driving that day ) and missed a great two days track event at Mugello ( had to take the 997 Carrera ). My dealer asked for some sort of compensation . Porsche answered that for this repair the immobilisation time is very reasonable. heart and they won’t do anything.
For a nearly new car at this price and with the incidence it had on me , I would of expected a gesture.

At the end , the problem was , according the them , a first case. The “calculation boxe “ screw up , witch  led to some sensors blowing up. The diagnostic check did not show where the problem was from.  It just did not pick it up. So they had to search manually.  With Porsche s procédures all this took ages.  Engine had to come out at the end to change one of the sensors.
My dealer did his best and was most helpful in trying all he could to have me satisfied.

I would have been irritated for the 4 week delay but also relieved that it wasn't something more serious.

Nice weekend, with a poor first race (had a spin when I was to eager to go into a gap. Pushed the throttle a bit to insensitive, p11.)

But second race from P11 to P4 in class💪😎 Then I drove the two hour night endurance by myself. Had some contact with a GT4 30 min in to the race and drove the rest of the race with a bent (about 20 degrees) steering wheel. Took a couple of laps to find how to hold the wheel to have the wheels strait when breaking (quite important when driving without ABS), but then got a hang of it. P4 in class again👊👊😎

A little update about the trouble I had with my RS in September. Porsche has given me a little Christmas present as a compensation.  It is appreciated and makes up for half the trouble. I do feel there has been customer care . My garage was of lots of help through the process. 👍
