    Jusy picked up my First Porsche!

    Hello all,

    I've had a 997S order placed back in July. A couple of weeks ago I walk into the dealer and my wife points to a car and says, 'Now that's a sports car!' I turn around and she's pointing to a 03 Arctic Silver Turbo with 3K miles.

    What a site! It was sitting there at the other end of the show room, grinning at us menacingly. Unfortunately it was priced higher than what I thought the car was worth and the dealer wouldn't budge.

    A couple of days ago, the dealer calls me back to wheel and deal and now I am the owner of this beauty!

    Man, I still feel like I'm dreaming...

    I think I'm gonna go sleep in the garage tonight.

    By the way, great info and people here and looking forward to becoming a long time member.

    Here are a couple of quick pics:











    I have not had a chance to drive the beast much yet, but the sound of the engine turning, the smell of leather that lingers on your clothes after getting out of the car, mixed in with the occasional 'throw me back in the seat and hope that a cop is not hiding behind that bush ahead' moments have been anything but sedated.

    The car is an 03 Arctic Silver 6 Speed with Black leather, small aluminum package, crest in headrest, supple leather, lumbar support in driver and passenger seats.

    Congrats and 2 pieces of advice:

    1 - be mighty careful when you (or someone else) lifts the rear window wiper. If you are not careful and it flips, it could put a V scratch on your left pillar.

    2 - get clear front side markers

    I agree on both of your statements, but would go further by suggesting the rear wiper be removed. No chance that way of scratching the paint. I learned the hard way...now mine's gone.
