    man, carlos, thanks a bunch

    CAR is the only Car mag i read, with the exception of christophorus and the occaisional Excellence

    and the Barnes And Noble (largest bookstore chain in USA) gets CAR magazine 1 month late, like all their other imports.

    best car magazine ever, must be a car enthusiasts wet dream to have an editorial position there.

    It is a hell of a way to sell magazines! One month tease with specifications and wait another for actual driving performance.

    The car looks great. But why compare it to the 997? The Porsche is virtually half the price...

    The 997 or 911 is no longer even in the running to be compared with cars like the 430 and the Gallardo.

    The Gallardo introduced this new class and now the 430 is a competitor (similar to the M3 vs C Class class.)
    I dont find the 997 fitting into this class at all. Porsche has to (and I have heard will) introduce a new model to compete with this class (a mini version of the carrera GT).
    Even with a 997 Turbo's extra HP, I'm not sure if even the new Turbo could even compare.

    I take it you talking performance wise of course and not looks or image so... you ever heard of the 996 GT2?

    And the direct competitor form the 997 range will be 997TT which will be right up there with the F430 and Gallardo, and a 997GT2 will then even be overkill.
