Re: McLaren on a winning streak

we are 15k away from half Price at a dealer ......- pretty damn Close to 50% . Bluelines even made a picture..... - however the car is sitting there already for way more than 6 month and somehow they are not going..... - for 11k km untracked that is a hefty hit in my book and since the market for Mac's is pretty small - Prices will further drop no doubt about it....

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

where did you find this car? autoscout?

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

the cheapest I found is 209.900 € from 2014 with about 15.500 km. Listprice was aprox. 285.000 €. So in two years 75.000 € down about 26%.

If you are 15k far away then you have found something around 160.000 €?

LP is currently 215 CHF - but owner is willing to go below 200.....

26% for a "rare" sports car in these days might be a lot - given the hype in resale values of Porsche/Ferrari cars Smiley Depreciation could be much higher when the current hype is over as - as said above - the number of buyers for McLaren cars is still comparatively small?

The cheapest F458 spider from 2014 is 190.000  € and the cheapest 991 turbo S cabrio is 154.900 € also from 2014. Where is any benefit to McLaren, both have suffered a larger depreciation.

It is a coupé with only few extra options the color, lift, camera. This car was in 2014 around 235.000 €. Half the price would be 117.500 €. He asks right now 190.000 €. He must be crazy for such a car, This car should be around 140.000 €.

I think that the LP in 2014 was about 260.000 € and now he is asking 195.500 € that is 25% less then new.

with all due respect - I was reading the document locally -  and you think ? how old are we ? 15 ? I have no clue what the Prices are in Germany - but I have stated above what they are in CHF. From NP to what we could get right now we're talking 40% - that is a fact - not a thought....

in 2014 for 1 EUR you got 1,25 CHF

    330.000 CHF/1,25 = 264.000 € - we are not far away, or??

Now he is asking 190.000 € on mobile.de that are 210.000 chf right now. We have now 1 EUR = 1,10 CHF.

    190.000/264.000=0,72 == 72% - calculated in EUR

If you calculate it in CHF, 210.000/330.000 = 0,64 == 64 % - but we had a valuta change of 14% in this time.

So I didn´t say anything  opposite to you, or did I??
For me who is buying with EUR and who compares to other cars which are offered in EUR he has lost 28% in this two years.

Dumb question: What about taxes and VAT if you buy a car in Switzerland as an EU citizen (sorry, never did that, so I have no clue)? Not really worth it I'm afraid.

I have lived their for few years and had the same question in my mind. I think you have to pay here the VAT on the deducted price. You need to have a document URSPRUNGSERKLÄRUNG or EUR.1 if you don´t have this then you have to pay custom duties 10%, too.

Do you think you will find the cars in CH cheaper then here? They have only 8% VAT and a higher purchasing power.

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

External dimensions are not necessarily rapresentative of interior space. At 192cm myself I could not get comfortable in the Huracan either. Taller drivers would probably benefit from carbon race seats to sit lower to the ground; not sure if these are available as on option on the huracan.

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

they are but horribly uncomfortable compared to Porsche

    What a nice Gallardo Smiley

In march 2014 I was at Huracan presentation is Geneva auto show, could seat in both one after another and that was my feeling, Aventador is roomier no doubt about it.

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

Was the power on in the Huracan you sat in to allow you to adjust the seat and steering wheel? From that photo you look to be sitting somewhat upright suggesting the seat wasn't adjusted. It usually isn't possible to adjust the seats on cars at auto shows. I'm around 191 cms and have no issue with room in my Huracan with the normal electric seats. I've also tried the Aventador but like Italo found it much more cramped. Most guys on the Lamborghini forums who've owned both agree the Huracan is the more spacious interior but everyone's impression can be different due to length of body vs length of leg etc. The steep rake of the windscreen and shallow side windows give an impression of the interior being small but once you have adjusted the seat and wheel and driven the car for more than 5 minutes you quickly get used to this. For me this is what makes the Lamborghini feel much more exotic to sit in than my previous 458's which feel much more like "normal" cars in comparsion.

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

I had a long conversation with the Lambo rep there and , yes, the seat was in the lower position and he said they coundn´t do anything about it. Still I could feet inside and it wasn´t a reason not to own the car if that was the case. I found the Aventador to be larger and taller. I then was able to drive the Aventador  and there was space enought to be comfortable. Never drove a Huracan.
